Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00826 | $0.00826 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00413 | $0.00413 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00165 | $0.00165 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00083 | $0.00083 |
Grade A, and why
mwaa-mcp-server CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 65 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Commands
uv run pytest -q # full suite, must stay green
uv run ruff check . # lint
uv run ruff format . # format (single quotes, line length 99)
uv lock # re-lock after a version bump
There is no Makefile and no CI. The local run is the only evidence a change works.
Architecture
server.py— builds the MCPServer, parses--allow-write, wires the two handler classes.environment_tools.py—EnvironmentTools, the MWAA control plane (boto3calls).airflow_tools.py—AirflowTools, every Airflow REST call.aws_client.py— the singleget_mwaa_clientfactory. Tests patch this name.consts.py— API path templates and redaction patterns.
Each handler registers its tools inside __init__ with self.mcp.tool(name='...').
All Airflow access goes through invoke_rest_api (ADR 0001). Never add create_cli_token or create_web_login_token.
Adding a tool
- Add the path template to
consts.py. - Write the failing test in
tests/test_airflow_tools.pyfirst. - Add the method to the handler and register it in
__init__. - Update the hardcoded tool counts in
tests/test_server.py. Three assertions carry a number. - Add the row to the README tool table.
- Follow the release steps below.
Write tools must call self._check_write_access() first.
Traps
Tool counts are hardcoded. tests/test_server.py asserts an exact count in three places. A new tool fails those tests until you bump each number.
Unset Field() defaults are not None in tests. Tests call handler methods directly, with no FastMCP in front. An omitted parameter therefore arrives as a Pydantic FieldInfo, not None. Pass limit=None explicitly when a test needs to simulate what a real client sends.
API paths carry no version prefix. invoke_rest_api routes the version itself. /pools works. /api/v2/pools and /v2/pools both answer 404.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
