Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.05650 | $0.05650 |
| Opus 5 | $0.02825 | $0.02825 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.01130 | $0.01130 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00565 | $0.00565 |
Grade A, and why
affiliatemcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 495 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
AGENTS.md
This file orients AI coding agents (Claude Code and equivalents) opening
affiliate-mcp for the first time. Read it before touching code.
What this project is
affiliate-mcp is a Model Context Protocol server with 86 publisher-side and
advertiser-side adapters across 72 affiliate-network families. It serves
MCP-capable clients including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and Codex. The user
brings their own API credentials; the server runs locally, and the local
product is free and complete. A hosted tier is planned, pre-launch, governed
by the accepted custody record
docs/decisions/2026-07-12-hosted-credential-custody.md; do not build hosted
surfaces beyond what that record and the technical roadmap authorise. Optional
telemetry is opt-in, off by default, and aggregate-only; it conforms to
PRIVACY.md and the decision record
docs/decisions/2026-06-13-privacy-first-telemetry.md. UK English throughout,
including the canonical noun "programme".
The project is in public beta. The full state of each network's adapter — what
ships, what is stubbed, what is known to misbehave — is in REPORT.md.
Product north star
Affiliate data should be available where affiliate work happens. This repo turns public affiliate network APIs into local-first MCP tools, skills, prompts, and workflows so affiliate professionals can use their own data from the AI workspace they already use.
The product is workflow-oriented. A user should be able to investigate performance, find partners, prepare a QBR, check unpaid commissions, draft outreach, audit links, or diagnose anomalies without bouncing between network dashboards, CSV exports, spreadsheets, docs, and email.
Target cohorts
Keep these audiences in mind when writing docs, tools, setup flows, and PR notes:
- Advertisers, brands, and agencies who manage programmes, optimise partners, prepare client updates, and use Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools.
- Publishers who track earnings, pending commissions, unpaid transactions, link health, programme performance, and cross-network reporting.
- Semi-technical operators who can follow guided setup, GitHub instructions, terminals, Claude Code, Codex, Cowork, or Cursor, but should not need to read the internals.
- Developers and data teams building internal tools, reporting workflows, reconciliation jobs, or agent-native affiliate operations.
- Affiliate network employees who may adopt, correct, own, or improve their own adapter.
- AI coding agents that need explicit boundaries so changes stay focused, safe, and reviewable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

affiliatemcp AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository bobberrisford/affiliatemcp (6 stars, last pushed 28d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 5,650 tokens to every session, about $0.0282 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
