Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00521 $0.00521
Opus 5 $0.00260 $0.00260
Sonnet 5 $0.00104 $0.00104
Haiku 4.5 $0.00052 $0.00052

Measured 8d ago against content hash 79229e55ddad, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

awesome-agents-md copilot-instructions.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

GitHub Copilot — Custom Instructions for Next.js 15

This is a Next.js 15 application using the App Router, React 19, TypeScript (strict), Drizzle ORM, and Tailwind CSS 4. Always default to Server Components — only use "use client" when state, effects, browser APIs, or a client-only library is genuinely required.

Conventions

  • Package manager: pnpm. Never use npm or yarn commands in suggestions.
  • Imports: Use the @/* path alias for any cross-directory import. Named exports only — default exports are reserved for Next's special files (page.tsx, layout.tsx, loading.tsx, error.tsx).
  • Mutations: Server Actions, not API routes. Use revalidatePath or revalidateTag after mutations.
  • Database: Drizzle in Server Components directly. No intermediate API layer.
  • Styling: Tailwind 4 with CSS-first config in app/globals.css. Use the cn() utility from @/lib/utils for conditional classNames. Use design tokens (CSS variables), not hardcoded hex values.
  • UI primitives: shadcn components in components/ui/. Do not edit them — re-run the shadcn CLI to update.
  • Forms: React Hook Form + Zod. Re-validate server-side with the same Zod schema.
  • Tests: Vitest + Testing Library for unit/component, Playwright for end-to-end. Test user-visible behavior, not implementation details.

Forbidden patterns

  • useEffect for data fetching (use Server Components or use())
  • any type (use unknown and narrow)
  • getServerSideProps / getStaticProps (Pages Router — we're App Router only)
  • Inline style={{ }} except for dynamic CSS variable assignment
  • Default exports for components

Cache and hydration awareness

  • fetch is cached aggressively in Server Components. Use cache: "no-store" for user-specific data, or next: { tags } + revalidateTag for invalidation.
  • Avoid Date, Math.random, window, document, localStorage during render in components reachable from the server tree — they cause hydration mismatches.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
