vitepress-carbon AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from brenoepics/vitepress-carbon. It costs 2,042 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository guidance for Carbon, a near-monochrome theme for VitePress documentation websites, organized as a pnpm workspace monorepo. A monorepo keeps several related packages in one repository.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when working on the theme, its command-line setup tool, demo site, Storybook component workbench, templates, or shared test tooling.
Why use it?
It gives coding agents and contributors the project structure, required design rules, commands, and tooling details they need before changing the code.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.02042 $0.02042
Opus 5 $0.01021 $0.01021
Sonnet 5 $0.00408 $0.00408
Haiku 4.5 $0.00204 $0.00204

Security

Grade A, and why

vitepress-carbon AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What this is

vitepress-carbon ("Carbon") is a sleek, near‑monochrome theme for VitePress documentation sites. It is a pnpm workspace monorepo:

Path Package Purpose
packages/theme vitepress-carbon The published theme. The main package. Builds to dist/.
packages/cli vpcar Published CLI (vpcar init) that scaffolds Carbon sites. Built with unbuild.
packages/demo vitepress-carbon-demo Demo docs site that consumes the theme via link:../theme. Not published.
packages/storybook vitepress-carbon-storybook Storybook workbench for the theme's components. Not published; deployed to /storybook/.
packages/templates JSON starter descriptors used by the CLI's init flow.
shared/ Code shared by tooling, not shipped: the VitePress harness used by the tests and Storybook.
/ (root) vitepress-carbon-monorepo Private root: shared scripts, tooling config, tests.

Environment

  • Package manager: pnpm 9.9.0 only. Every package has preinstall: only-allow pnpm — npm/yarn will fail. Do not add a package-lock.json or yarn.lock.
  • Node: 22.18.0 (.node-version). Engines allow ^20.19.0 || >=22.18.0.
  • Install with pnpm install (use --frozen-lockfile in CI‑like runs).

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
