Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.02165 $0.02165
Opus 5 $0.01082 $0.01082
Sonnet 5 $0.00433 $0.00433
Haiku 4.5 $0.00216 $0.00216

Security

Grade C, and why

agentic-design-system CLAUDE.md scanned grade C with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Agentic Design System — Agent Instructions

This is a monorepo for a React design system purpose-built for agentic/MCP applications. Read this file before making any changes.

Packages

Package Purpose
packages/component-doc Types-only schema (ComponentDoc) for colocated component spec docs
packages/tokens Design tokens — source of truth for all values
packages/core Base components (Button, CodeBlock, AgenticProvider, theme)
packages/agents Agent-specific components (streaming, tool calls, status)
packages/mcp-builder MCP stdio server (get_token, get_component, search) + IIFE bundle for MCP App iframes
apps/storybook Visual regression tests and component stories
apps/demo-web Integration demo

Build order is enforced: component-doc → tokens → core → agents → mcp-builder. Always run npm run build from the root.

Best Practices

Before implementing or modifying any component, read docs/best-practices.md. It is the authoritative standard for this codebase. Key rules summarized below.

Accessibility — Non-Negotiable

All components must meet WCAG 2.2 AA. Agent-specific components have specific ARIA requirements:

  • StreamingTextrole="log" + aria-live="polite" + aria-atomic="false"
  • ThinkingIndicatorrole="status" + aria-live="polite"
  • AgentStatusrole="status" + aria-live="polite" + visually-hidden text
  • MessageThreadrole="log" + aria-label
  • ToolCallCard expand/collapse trigger → must be <button> with aria-expanded + aria-controls
  • ProgressStepsrole="list" + aria-current="step" on active item
  • All animated components must respect prefers-reduced-motion

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

agentic-design-system CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository brianmontanaweb/agentic-design-system (3 stars, last pushed 19d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 2,165 tokens to every session, about $0.0108 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it C with 2 findings (reads agent configuration directories, enumerates other installed skills).
