Brightwing MCP Manager is a Tauri v2 desktop app (Rust backend + React/TypeScript frontend) that manages MCP server installations, authentication, and proxying across AI tools (Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code, Codex, etc.).

Note: Sidecar binaries (brightwing-authd, brightwing-proxy, bw) must exist in src-tauri/binaries/ with target-triple suffixes before cargo check or tauri build will work. build-app.sh handles this automatically. In CI, placeholders are created first.

To ship a new version:

Bump version in all four places:

Commit the version bump — do NOT use
[skip ci]in the message, because GitHub applies it to all workflows triggered by that commit, including the tag-triggered build:git commit -m "Bump to vX.Y.Z" -
Tag and push:
