tanstack-hono CLAUDE.md

tanstack-hono CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for coding agents from bskimball/tanstack-hono. It costs 1,209 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for a TanStack Hono web application using Vite+, a command-line tool that combines development, building, testing, formatting, linting, and type checking. They document the project’s commands and files that should not be edited.

In plain words
What is it for?
Starting development, building the client and server, installing dependencies, checking code quality, running tests, and following the project’s Vite+ rules.
Why use it?
They give an AI coding agent the correct workflow for this repository and reduce mistakes caused by using the wrong tools or changing generated files.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.01209 $0.01209
Opus 5 $0.00605 $0.00605
Sonnet 5 $0.00242 $0.00242
Haiku 4.5 $0.00121 $0.00121

Measured 4d ago against content hash ebf81db4b4de, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

tanstack-hono CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Claude Guidelines

AGENTS.md is the single source of truth. This file exists only as a Claude-specific entry point.

Quick Reference

  • vp dev — start dev server
  • vp run build — build client + server
  • vp check / vp check --fix — format + lint + typecheck
  • vp test — run all tests
  • Never edit src/routeTree.gen.ts

Using Vite+, the Unified Toolchain for the Web

This project is using Vite+, a unified toolchain built on top of Vite, Rolldown, Vitest, tsdown, Oxlint, Oxfmt, and Vite Task. Vite+ wraps runtime management, package management, and frontend tooling in a single global CLI called vp. Vite+ is distinct from Vite, but it invokes Vite through vp dev and vp build.

Vite+ Workflow

vp is a global binary that handles the full development lifecycle. Run vp help to print a list of commands and vp <command> --help for information about a specific command.

Start

  • create - Create a new project from a template
  • migrate - Migrate an existing project to Vite+
  • config - Configure hooks and agent integration
  • staged - Run linters on staged files
  • install (i) - Install dependencies
  • env - Manage Node.js versions

Develop

  • dev - Run the development server
  • check - Run format, lint, and TypeScript type checks
  • lint - Lint code
  • fmt - Format code
  • test - Run tests

Execute

  • run - Run monorepo tasks
  • exec - Execute a command from local node_modules/.bin
  • dlx - Execute a package binary without installing it as a dependency
  • cache - Manage the task cache

Build

  • build - Build for production
  • pack - Build libraries
  • preview - Preview production build

Manage Dependencies

Vite+ automatically detects and wraps the underlying package manager such as pnpm, npm, or Yarn through the packageManager field in package.json or package manager-specific lockfiles.

  • add - Add packages to dependencies
  • remove (rm, un, uninstall) - Remove packages from dependencies
  • update (up) - Update packages to latest versions
  • dedupe - Deduplicate dependencies
  • outdated - Check for outdated packages
  • list (ls) - List installed packages
  • why (explain) - Show why a package is installed
  • info (view, show) - View package information from the registry
  • link (ln) / unlink - Manage local package links
  • pm - Forward a command to the package manager

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
