ios-development-agents: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

ios-development-agents AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from CarolaneLFBV/ios-development-agents. It costs 362 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A repository instruction file for maintaining a project that distributes iOS coding prompts and tools rather than an iOS app. It explains which source files to edit, how generated files are refreshed, and how installations should be scoped.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing skills, workflows, catalog entries, generated agent files, or the scripts that build this framework.
Why use it?
It reduces accidental edits to generated files, incorrect repository changes, and installing project instructions into the wrong place.

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: mentions .claude-plugin; mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions Codex.

This is CarolaneLFBV/ios-development-agents's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on ios-development-agents itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00362 $0.00362
Opus 5.5 $0.00145 $0.00145
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00072 $0.00072
Haiku 4.5 $0.00036 $0.00036

Measured 21d ago against content hash 8563c898be97, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ios-development-agents AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 21d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Maintaining the iOS framework

This repository distributes prompts and tooling, not an iOS application. Shared repository instructions live here; CLAUDE.md is only a compatibility import.

  • Edit canonical skills in skills/*/SKILL.md, their conditional references/, or workflows in commands/*.md.
  • agents/*.md, codex/agents/*.toml and skills/ios-workflow/references/*.md are generated. After source edits, run python3 scripts/framework.py generate.
  • Register catalog changes in scripts/framework.py and .claude-plugin/marketplace.json. Keep descriptions brief and roles distinct.
  • Preserve the target app's architecture, toolchain and OS support. Verify uncertain API behavior in primary documentation or the installed SDK. Avoid generic tutorials, mandatory MCP lookups, model pinning and automatic delegation.
  • Keep runtime prompts self-contained; load detailed references only for matching work. Preserve parent permissions and the user's requested scope.
  • install-codex installs only into an explicitly selected project. Never replace that app's instructions or install globally by default. hooks/ is Claude-only.

Python tooling requires 3.11+. Validate substantive changes with:

python3 scripts/framework.py check
python3 -m unittest discover -s tests -v

budget reports current sizes; budget --tokens optionally uses tiktoken as a text-size proxy. evals/ contains intentionally imperfect review fixtures and behavioral criteria; catalog validation does not prove model effectiveness.

Keep audits/results under ignored docs/; tooling must work without it. Preserve unrelated local edits. Commit or publish only when requested.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
