mcp-mockuuups: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

mcp-mockuuups CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from CaseyRo/mcp-mockuuups. It costs 861 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository-specific instructions for an MCP server that connects to the Mockuuups Studio REST API, a web service for creating product mockup images. They document the API's actual responses and important implementation choices.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when changing the mockup catalog, submitting or polling image renders, handling API credits, or working with the unauthenticated upload route.
Why use it?
They help an agent avoid relying on outdated API documentation or unsupported assumptions, such as server-side search and default high-resolution renders.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00861 $0.00861
Opus 5 $0.00430 $0.00430
Sonnet 5 $0.00172 $0.00172
Haiku 4.5 $0.00086 $0.00086

Security

Grade A, and why

mcp-mockuuups CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

CLAUDE.md

MCP server wrapping the Mockuuups Studio REST API. Part of the CDIT MCP fleet — fleet conventions live in the cdit OpenSpec store; this file covers what is specific to this repo.

The upstream API, as it actually behaves

The published reference at mockuuups.studio/api/docs/ is behind a login wall. What follows was verified against the live API on 2026-08-25 and is the reason several design choices look the way they do.

GET /v1/account plan, features, credit balance
GET /v1/mockups the catalog
GET /v1/mockups/{id} one mockup
POST /v1/renders       {mockup, size, mode, destination, contents[]}
GET /v1/renders/{id} poll an async render

Four behaviours that are load-bearing here:

  1. The catalog endpoint has no search. q, search, type, family and tag are accepted and silently ignored — every call returns the same unfiltered page. limit does work, and limit=6000 returns all 5314 mockups (~3.3MB) in one response. Hence catalog.py: fetch once, cache, search locally.
  2. Omitting size means hi-res, which fails the whole render with feature-not-available on any plan lacking that feature. client.py always sends size explicitly. Never make it optional upstream.
  3. contents[].url is mandatory. There is no upload endpoint, no base64 field, no data-URI support. Rendering a locally-held image requires hosting it somewhere Mockuuups can fetch — that is what uploads.py is for.
  4. contents must have one entry per placement, in order. All but two of the 5314 mockups have exactly one placement.

Errors come back as {"error": {"code", "message", "detail"}}; client._explain turns the ones that matter into actionable messages.

Why renders are async

A synchronous screenshot render measured 17.3s. Clients reach this server through a Cloudflare MCP portal with a hard ~60s upstream read timeout that we cannot change, so a handful of sequential sync renders gets severed mid-flight (the same trap mcp-bildsprache documents in its config).

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
