.github/instructions/report-boards.instructions.md

agent-harness-plugins report-boards.instructions.md is an instructions file for GitHub Copilot from cboone/agent-harness-plugins. It costs 413 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of instructions for checking bug report boards. It validates that bug sections, priority levels, signals, and triage decisions agree with each other.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to validate bug boards and understand which checks can be performed from the board data.
Why use it?
It catches inconsistencies in an existing board without pretending it can recalculate information that is not stored there, such as deadlines or progress.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00413 $0.00413
Opus 5.5 $0.00165 $0.00165
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00083 $0.00083
Haiku 4.5 $0.00041 $0.00041

Security

Grade A, and why

agent-harness-plugins report-boards.instructions.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Report board review instructions

For repo-wide conventions, see copilot-instructions.md and AGENTS.md at the repository root.

  • bugs-gather score places bugs in tiers; report-board validate checks a board's consistency. Placement depends on config the board data does not carry, such as deadlineDays, progress and park labels, and when triage entries expire against the sync time, so report-board cannot recompute tiers from the board alone. It checks the rules it can check from the board: that each section agrees with bug.tier, that a Critical entry has an escalate call or an assessment that earns Critical, and that signals and triage calls are consistent. Do not ask report-board to rerun the scoring rules.
  • In the jq programs bugs-gather and report-board embed, a line starting with // is jq's alternative operator, not a comment. jq comments start with #. progress_of chains its fix, draft fix, pipeline and label fallbacks with //; do not report them as commented out.
  • zenhub_post in bugs-gather writes Authorization: Bearer %s with the token as the printf argument. GitHub may mask the token variable in a rendered diff; the format string does have its conversion. Do not report the header as missing the token or the Bearer scheme.
  • scripts/bugs-gather-queries/zenhub.graphql is deliberately left open. Its last line closes workspace, not the query; gather_zenhub appends one aliased issueByInfo field per bug and then the closing }. Do not flag the file as unbalanced on its own.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
