smai-end-to-end-smus: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

smai-end-to-end-smus CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from chloe-kwak/smai-end-to-end-smus. It costs 1,078 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for a Korean-language workshop that teaches an end-to-end machine-learning workflow in Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio, with MLflow for tracking experiments. The project consists of Jupyter notebooks rather than a packaged application.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when changing notebooks, preserving shared notebook state, finding configuration, or understanding which files are generated during the workshop.
Why use it?
They prevent edits to generated files and keep two separate notebook-based learning tracks from being mixed together.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01078 $0.01078
Opus 5.5 $0.00431 $0.00431
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00216 $0.00216
Haiku 4.5 $0.00108 $0.00108

Security

Grade A, and why

smai-end-to-end-smus CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What this is

A hands-on workshop (instructional content in Korean) demonstrating an end-to-end ML workflow on Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio with MLflow experiment tracking. It is a sequence of Jupyter notebooks, not an installable package — there is no build, lint, or test suite. The notebooks are the source of truth.

The notebooks are the only versioned code

code/, processing/, training/, tmp/, data/, bank-additional/, mlruns/, and model artifacts (*.tar.gz, xgboost-model) are all gitignored — they are generated at runtime. The .py scripts in code//processing//training/ are produced by %%writefile cells inside the notebooks; bank-additional/ and data/ are downloaded by the notebooks. Never edit those generated files directly — edit the %%writefile cell in the owning notebook, since a re-run overwrites them. To inspect a notebook as plain Python:

jupyter nbconvert --to script --stdout 2-training.ipynb

Two independent tracks — do not conflate them

  • Notebooks 0→4 — Bank Marketing dataset, binary classification (predict term-deposit subscription, binary:logistic). These run sequentially and share state (see %store below).
  • Notebook 5 (5-pipelines_...ipynb) — UCI Abalone, regression (reg:..., MSE). A standalone SageMaker Pipelines demo that does NOT consume any output of 0→4 and can run alone.

The two tracks have separate preprocessing/training/evaluation scripts with different schemas (processing/preprocessing.py + training/train.py for bank; code/preprocessing.py + code/evaluation.py for abalone). When changing data shape, only touch the track you mean.

Cross-notebook state via %store

Notebook 0 computes bucket, prefix, role, region, mlflow_arn, mlflow_name, experiment_name and persists them with %store. Notebooks 1→4 begin with %store -r ... to restore them. Notebook 0 must be run first, in the same Jupyter profile, or the later notebooks fail at restore.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
