In plain words
What is it for?

Why use it?
They give an AI coding assistant the project-specific rules it needs to work on the code consistently.

Instructions file for Claude Code

Written for Claude Code: Claude Code plugin machinery.

This is chrischall/vibo-mcp's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on vibo-mcp itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything vibo-mcp configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.03028 $0.03028
Opus 5 $0.01514 $0.01514
Sonnet 5 $0.00606 $0.00606
Haiku 4.5 $0.00303 $0.00303

Measured 7d ago against content hash 1485855e392a, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

vibo-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

vibo-mcp

MCP server for Vibo. Wraps the Vibo consumer GraphQL API (https://api.vibodj.com/v2/graphql) and exposes 39 host/couple tools to Claude over stdio (15 reads + 24 writes/actions, confirm-gated where they mutate). Built on @chrischall/mcp-utils (runMcp, textResult, toolAnnotations, schemaConfirm, error classes).

Commands

npm run build # tsc + esbuild bundle → dist/index.js + dist/bundle.js
npm test # vitest run
npm run test:watch # vitest watch
npm run test:coverage # vitest run --coverage (v8 reporter, no thresholds)

Run locally (requires built dist/ + credentials):

[email protected] VIBO_PASSWORD=… node dist/index.js

Tool naming

All tools are prefixed vibo_ (e.g. vibo_list_sections, vibo_add_song_to_section).

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
