skillbox: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

skillbox AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from christiananagnostou/skillbox. It costs 777 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository-specific instructions for Skillbox, a TypeScript project using Node.js and Oxc for linting and formatting. They document commands for installing, building, checking style, formatting, and running tests.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when modifying Skillbox, choosing the right validation command, or running a single test or test pattern.
Why use it?
They give an agent the project’s expected development workflow and coding conventions, reducing guesswork during changes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00777 $0.00777
Opus 5 $0.00388 $0.00388
Sonnet 5 $0.00155 $0.00155
Haiku 4.5 $0.00078 $0.00078

Measured 7d ago against content hash bc15d1e767e0, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

skillbox AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Code Style Guidelines

Language and Runtime

  • TypeScript, ES modules, Node.js.
  • Use async/await for I/O; avoid synchronous filesystem calls.

Imports

  • Use named imports and explicit module paths.
  • Group imports: built-ins, external deps, local modules.
  • Keep type-only imports with import type.

Formatting

  • Use oxfmt via npm run format.
  • Target print width is 100.
  • Use double quotes in TypeScript files (oxfmt default).

Types

  • Prefer explicit return types on exported functions.
  • Avoid any; use narrow unions and helper types.
  • Use type for aliases; use interface only when extending public shapes.

Naming

  • Files: kebab-case for new modules under src/lib or src/commands.
  • Functions: verb-first (loadConfig, resolveRuntime).
  • Constants: camelCase for values, UPPER_SNAKE only for compile-time constants.

Error Handling

  • Use handleCommandError for CLI command errors.
  • Return JSON errors when --json is set.
  • Throw Error with clear, user-facing messages.

CLI Patterns

  • Commands should support --json output.
  • Use shared helpers: handleCommandError, printList, printGroupList, grouping utilities.
  • Keep output stable and concise for agent usage.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
