Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00955 | $0.00955 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00382 | $0.00382 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00191 | $0.00191 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00096 | $0.00096 |
Grade A, and why
mcp-apple-music CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 45 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
CLAUDE.md — mcp-apple-music
MCP server for the Apple Music REST API (catalog search, library, playlists, favorites). Published on PyPI as mcp-apple-music-server and in the MCP Registry as io.github.Cifero74/mcp-apple-music.
Stack
- Python 3.10+, managed with
uv(build backend: hatchling) - FastMCP (
mcp[cli]>=1.0.0,<2), httpx (async), PyJWT + cryptography (ES256 developer token) - No test suite and no lint config in the repo
Structure (src/mcp_apple_music/)
auth.py:AppleMusicAuth. It signs the developer token from the.p8key and loads the Music User Token, either from~/.config/mcp-apple-music/config.jsonor from env vars (APPLE_TEAM_ID,APPLE_KEY_ID,APPLE_PRIVATE_KEY,APPLE_MUSIC_USER_TOKEN,APPLE_STOREFRONT)client.py:AppleMusicClient, a thin async wrapper (get/post/put/delete/get_url/get_all_pages) overhttps://api.music.apple.com/v1server.py: the FastMCP app and all@mcp.tool()async tools; entry pointmcp-apple-musicsetup.py: the setup wizard (mcp-apple-music-setup). It serves a local MusicKit JS page so the user can log in and get a Music User Token
Verify recipe
uv run python -m compileall -q srcuvx ruff check src. Baseline as of ruff 0.16.10: 8 pre-existing findings (7× UP045Optional[X], 1× BLE001 insetup.py), all from default rules, since there's no ruff config. Until they're cleaned up, the gate is "no new findings".- Live smoke test. Call the async tools directly (the
@mcp.tool()decorator returns the plain function):
Use read-only calls only. Never change Mario's real favorites. To test write tools, use a throwaway song (e.g.perl -e 'alarm 60; exec @ARGV' uv run python -c ' import asyncio from mcp_apple_music import server as s async def main(): print(await s.search_catalog("Lauryn Hill", types="songs", limit=2)) print(await s.get_song_favorite_status("1276760751")) asyncio.run(main()) '1276760752, not favorited) and restore its original state afterwards.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
