Instructions file for CodexOpenCode

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions subagents; mentions Codex.

This is ckorhonen/claude-skills's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on claude-skills itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything claude-skills configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00499 $0.00499
Opus 5 $0.00249 $0.00249
Sonnet 5 $0.00100 $0.00100
Haiku 4.5 $0.00050 $0.00050

Security

Grade A, and why

claude-skills AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Agent Instructions

Project Facts

This repository is a collection of reusable AI-agent skills under skills/. The README is the public catalog and should stay in sync with skill additions, removals, and renamed skill folders.

Commands

No repo-wide package manifest or test command is present at the root. Inspect the specific skills/<skill-name>/ directory before changing a skill; some skills may include their own helper scripts or package manifests.

Repository Map

  • skills/: canonical skill directories and SKILL.md files.
  • .agents/: shared agent config (hooks, rules, settings). Both .claude and .codex are top-level symlinks to .agents/, and .agents/skills symlinks back to ../skills, so all agents resolve the same config and skill set.
  • .agents/hooks/: hook scripts for markdown formatting, frontmatter validation, protected-file checks, README sync checks, and dangerous-command blocking (reachable as .claude/hooks/).
  • .agents/settings.json: hook wiring (reachable as .claude/settings.json).

Agents and Commands

  • agents/: publishable subagent definitions (7 files, e.g. code-reviewer.md, orchestrator.md, security-auditor.md) mirroring the user's global agent install.
  • commands/: publishable command definitions (4 files: add-tests.md, install-conductor.md, pr-create.md, simplify.md) mirroring the user's global command install.
  • .agents/commands/README.md points here; these root directories are the catalog copies.

Source of Truth & Sync

  • ~/.agents/skills on this machine is the live source of truth for skills; this repo is the published catalog and is currently about 2 months stale.
  • Refresh catalog copies from the global install with scripts/sync-from-global.sh (dry-run by default; pass --apply to write, --all to also copy new global-only skills).

Agent Workflow

  • Keep skill edits self-contained to the relevant skills/<skill-name>/ folder unless the README catalog also needs to change.
  • When adding or renaming a skill, update README.md in the same pass.
  • Do not invent validation commands. Use scripts present in the touched skill folder, or document manual validation if no script exists.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
