contentful-laravel AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from contentful/contentful-laravel. It costs 846 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for the Contentful Laravel package, including where to find architecture, testing, design decisions, and active specifications.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when modifying, reviewing, building, or testing contentful/contentful-laravel. They explain that the package registers Contentful's delivery client in Laravel and exposes it through a facade.
Why use it?
They give a coding agent the project context and rules needed to make changes without violating the package's intended scope or public API.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00846 $0.00846
Opus 5.5 $0.00338 $0.00338
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00169 $0.00169
Haiku 4.5 $0.00085 $0.00085

Security

Grade A, and why

contentful-laravel AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Sharp Edges & Invariants

  • This package has one job: register Contentful\Delivery\Client as a deferred Laravel singleton and expose it via the ContentfulDelivery facade. Do not add CDA logic, query helpers, or content model abstractions here — those belong in the upstream contentful/contentful SDK.
  • No breaking changes without a major version bump. This follows semver strictly. Any change to the public API (service provider interface, facade accessor, config key names, PHP/Laravel version floor) requires a major version bump and CHANGELOG entry.
  • Config keys are part of the public API. The contentful.delivery.* config namespace is documented and used by downstream Laravel apps. Do not rename or restructure config keys in a minor or patch release.
  • The delivery.options config key expects a callable or empty array. Do not change its type signature without a major bump.
  • Always call $client->useIntegration($this) after constructing the Client singleton. This is required for telemetry tagging via IntegrationInterface. Removing this call will silently break SDK usage reporting.
  • Tests use the public Contentful example space. The cfexampleapi space + b4c0n73n7fu1 token in phpunit.xml.dist are intentionally public and safe to commit. Do not replace them with real credentials.
  • No composer.lock is committed. This is a library — the lock file is intentionally absent so consumers resolve their own dependency tree. Never commit composer.lock.
  • Package auto-discovery is enabled. The extra.laravel block in composer.json registers the provider and facade alias automatically. If you add new providers or aliases, update that block.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
