CLAUDE.md

orchestra-code CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from crossben/orchestra-code. It costs 254 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for Claude Code in the Orchestra project, a Go command-line tool that coordinates several AI coding agents under human review. They add project-specific build, test, release, and extension guidance.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when changing Orchestra code, running its tests, adding agents, checking release configuration, or handling local Go toolchain issues.
Why use it?
They give the coding agent the commands and rules needed to work consistently in this repository, including its supervised approval process and Go version constraints.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00254 $0.00254
Opus 5.5 $0.00102 $0.00102
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00051 $0.00051
Haiku 4.5 $0.00025 $0.00025

Security

Grade A, and why

orchestra-code CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

CLAUDE.md

This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

The canonical agent instructions live in AGENTS.md (shared with other coding agents). It covers the build/verify commands, package layout, the supervised loop, the Agent interface, and testing conventions:

Additions for Claude Code

  • Module path is github.com/crossben/orchestra-code; CI pins Go 1.22. If go tries to download a newer toolchain and fails offline, run go env -w GOTOOLCHAIN=local once.
  • Run a single test: go test ./internal/engine/ -run TestName -v.
  • CI also runs goreleaser check against .goreleaser.yaml, so keep that file valid if you touch it. See docs/RELEASING.md for the release flow and docs/EXTENDING.md for adding agents (CLI or type: api).
  • Orchestra is supervised-first: nothing an agent produces is kept without an explicit accept at diff review. If a change alters agent behavior or the supervised loop, call that out explicitly in the PR.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
