Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00884 | $0.00884 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00442 | $0.00442 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00177 | $0.00177 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00088 | $0.00088 |
Grade A, and why
mbta-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 110 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Architecture Overview
This is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that provides LLMs with access to Boston's MBTA V3 API. The architecture follows a layered approach:
Core Components:
mbta_mcp/client.py: Base HTTP client using aiohttp with async session managementmbta_mcp/extended_client.py: Extends base client with all 14 MBTA API endpointsmbta_mcp/server.py: MCP server implementation with tool registration and dispatch
MCP Integration Pattern: The server registers 14 tools that map to MBTA API endpoints. Each tool is defined with JSON schemas for input validation and calls the appropriate client method. The server uses async context managers for proper resource cleanup.
API Client Architecture:
- Uses aiohttp.ClientSession for HTTP requests with proper async lifecycle
- Base client handles authentication headers and error handling
- Extended client adds endpoint-specific methods with parameter validation
- Both clients require
async withcontext for session management
Development Commands
Primary workflow using Task:
task verify # Full verification (install, check, test)
task install-dev # Install all dependencies including dev tools
task check # Run format, lint, and typecheck
task test-server # Test MCP server functionality
task run # Start the MCP server
Individual quality checks:
task format # Format code with ruff
task lint # Lint with ruff (30+ rule categories)
task lint-fix # Auto-fix linting issues
task typecheck # Type check with strict mypy
Direct uv commands:
uv sync --dev # Install dependencies
uv run mbta-mcp # Run the server directly
uv run mypy mbta_mcp/
uv run ruff check mbta_mcp/
uv run ruff format mbta_mcp/
Configuration & Setup
Environment setup:
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
