SutroYaro: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

SutroYaro CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from cybertronai/SutroYaro. It costs 3,923 tokens per session, scanned C, original, Unlicense.

Claude Code instructions for SutroYaro, a repository that stores research knowledge, dispatches agent teams, indexes related repositories, publishes documentation, and synchronizes updates from other services.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when maintaining lab memory, launching agent teams, updating the related-repository index or public documentation, or working on Telegram, Google Docs, and GitHub synchronization.
Why use it?
They clarify which work belongs in this coordination repository and which work belongs in the active research repositories.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.03923 $0.03923
Opus 5 $0.01962 $0.01962
Sonnet 5 $0.00785 $0.00785
Haiku 4.5 $0.00392 $0.00392

Measured 6d ago against content hash 1b20cfa3b67b, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade C, and why

SutroYaro CLAUDE.md scanned grade C with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

CLAUDE.md - Sutro Group Research Workspace

Project Context

This is a research workspace for the Sutro Group, a study group exploring energy-efficient AI training. The group meets weekly at South Park Commons in San Francisco.

Scoped role of this repo (read this first)

SutroYaro is the lab's memory and dispatcher — not the research front, not the metric, not the benchmark problems. Five things it does:

  1. Lab memoryDISCOVERIES.md is the curated "what's proven" record. New agents read this BEFORE running experiments to avoid spending tokens on settled work.
  2. Agent-teams dispatcher — the patterns in .claude/skills/, bin/, hooks, and the agent-teams machinery here are how new builds (e.g. hinton-problems, schmidhuber-problems) get launched.
  3. Cross-repo indexdocs/related-repos.md is the curated map of the 8-repo cybertronai org.
  4. Public facedocs/ + mkdocs build the site shown at Monday meetings.
  5. Telegram + Google Docs + GitHub syncbin/tg-sync, src/sync_google_docs.py, daily catchups.

What this repo is NOT (so you don't accidentally do work in the wrong place):

  • NOT the active research front. That's at cybertronai/ByteDMD/experiments/grid (Yaroslav) and cybertronai/simplified-dally-model (Yaroslav, 2D grid cost model).
  • NOT the home for benchmark problems. Those are in dedicated repos: sparse-parity-challenge, hinton-problems, schmidhuber-problems, sutro-problems.
  • NOT the cost metric definition. That's in ByteDMD and simplified-dally-model.

If you're about to write experiment code or a new benchmark stub here, stop and check whether one of the per-purpose repos is the right home. SutroYaro should accumulate findings, not source code that belongs elsewhere. A reshuffle to align the codebase with this scoped role is tracked as a meta issue.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
