Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01056 $0.01056
Opus 5 $0.00528 $0.00528
Sonnet 5 $0.00211 $0.00211
Haiku 4.5 $0.00106 $0.00106

Measured 12d ago against content hash 64a54d921346, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-12, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ai-accounting-skills CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Claude for Accounting — Repo Guide for Agents

This repository is an open-source plugin marketplace for accounting engagements: stage plugins, skills, firm profiles, country packs, and shared safety rules.

First principles (read these)

  1. shared/runtime-brief.mdthrow-work load first (one screen). Don’t preload 10 doctrine files.
  2. shared/kernel-contract.mdcore rules: which files hold amounts; TB only via scripts.
  3. shared/skill-collapse-map.md — six main jobs. Don’t invent a seventh without updating that map.
  4. shared/operator-lens.md — one engine: operator + depth. No business-vs-firm slash forks.
  5. shared/shelf-first.md — docs may be anywhere; one intake shelves before extract.
  6. CONTEXT.md — plain English terms.
  7. Depth-scoped done — machine gates in references/depth_gates.json; python3 scripts/depth_gates.py <client> --strict. Books-only ≠ year-end pack.
  8. Trial balances are calculated onlyscripts/roll_tb.py / npx @cynco/accounting-skills tb.
  9. Progress questions use structured toolsshared/user-questions.md.
  10. Work the months you have — don’t pressure for 12 months.

When working in this repo

  1. Read shared/guardrails.md before changing skills that produce numbers.
  2. Read CONTRIBUTING.md, shared/skill-craft.md, and shared/skill-design-framework.md before new skills.
  3. Prefer country packs over hard-coding country rules into stage skills.
  4. Never commit client data, secrets, or hard-coded firm branding.
  5. Run python3 scripts/validate_marketplace.py after structural edits.
  6. After skill edits: python3 scripts/sync_umbrella.py.
  7. Builder skills (skills-qa, jurisdiction scaffold, builder cold-start) only run when the user asks — they must not auto-start mid-client job.
  8. Short slash surface — prefer /do-books · /extract · /classify · /post · /present · /prove (see shared/slash-surface.md). Aliases load canonical long skills; don’t duplicate doctrine.
  9. After release push to main: run npm publish --access public locally so browser auth can open (Hazli authenticates). See PUBLISH.md. Don’t only rely on CI npm unless he says so.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
