Overview

MCP server for Everything, the blazing-fast Windows file search engine. Provides instant file/folder search through MCP by wrapping the es.exe command-line interface.

Platform: Windows only
Runtime: TypeScript on Bun (MCP SDK v2)

Architecture

TypeScript sources under src/, using @modelcontextprotocol/server v2:

createServer() (src/server.ts): Builds an McpServer and registerTools search + get_file_info with Zod input schemas
resolveEsPath() / executeEverything(): Absolute-path-only es.exe discovery and spawn
src/index.ts: serveStdio(() => createServer()) entrypoint
plugin/bundle/index.js: bun build output launched by plugin/.mcp.json via node (self-contained; no node_modules required at plugin runtime)

External Dependency

Requires es.exe (Everything command-line tool):

Override via ES_PATH environment variable (must be absolute)
