In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when developing, building, testing, or running the TypeScript server that manages domains, DNS, email, hosting, backups, servers, certificates, and invoices.
Why use it?
It gives coding agents the project's structure, technology requirements, commands, and available service scope.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01023 $0.01023
Opus 5 $0.00511 $0.00511
Sonnet 5 $0.00205 $0.00205
Haiku 4.5 $0.00102 $0.00102

Measured 9d ago against content hash 51b4e2f34179, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

infomaniak_mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

CLAUDE.md - Infomaniak MCP Server

This file provides guidance to Claude Code when working with this codebase.

Project Overview

This is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that provides tools for interacting with the Infomaniak API. It allows AI assistants to manage Infomaniak services including domains, DNS, email, web hosting, kDrive, Swiss Backup, VPS, dedicated servers, SSL certificates, and invoicing.

Tech Stack

  • Language: TypeScript (ES2022)
  • Module System: Node16 ESM
  • Runtime: Node.js >= 18
  • Key Dependencies:
    • @modelcontextprotocol/sdk - MCP server SDK
    • zod - Schema validation
  • Build Output: ./build/

Project Structure

src/
├── index.ts # MCP server entry point, tool definitions and handlers
└── infomaniak-client.ts # Infomaniak API client with typed methods

Build and Run Commands

npm install # Install dependencies
npm run build # Compile TypeScript to build/
npm run dev # Watch mode for development
npm start # Run the built server
npm test # Run unit tests
npm run test:watch # Run tests in watch mode
npm run test:coverage # Run tests with coverage report
npm run typecheck # Type check without emitting
npm run inspector # Test with MCP Inspector (requires INFOMANIAK_API_TOKEN env var)

Architecture

MCP Server (src/index.ts)

  • Defines 50+ tools organized by service category (domains, mail, hosting, etc.)
  • Uses stdio transport for communication
  • Requires INFOMANIAK_API_TOKEN environment variable
  • Each tool maps to one or more InfomaniakClient methods

API Client (src/infomaniak-client.ts)

  • Base URL: https://api.infomaniak.com
  • Authentication: OAuth 2.0 Bearer Token
  • Rate Limit: 60 requests/minute
  • Typed interfaces for all API responses

Validation (src/schemas.ts)

  • Zod schemas for all tool inputs
  • validate() helper function for runtime validation
  • Provides clear error messages with field paths

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
