xiaohongshu-skill: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

xiaohongshu-skill AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from DeliciousBuding/xiaohongshu-skill. It costs 466 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Repository instructions for a Xiaohongshu toolkit, where Xiaohongshu is a Chinese social-media platform. They define safe browser operations, account boundaries, command usage, and testing rules.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them to search feeds, inspect users, check login status, explore content, manage isolated profiles, or develop and test the toolkit.
Why use it?
They help agents distinguish read-only actions from account-changing actions and stop safely at login, captcha, or security checks.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00466 $0.00466
Opus 5 $0.00233 $0.00233
Sonnet 5 $0.00093 $0.00093
Haiku 4.5 $0.00047 $0.00047

Measured 9d ago against content hash 352170979446, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

xiaohongshu-skill AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 47 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

AGENTS.md

xiaohongshu-skill is a Xiaohongshu browser toolkit and Agent Skill. SKILL.md is the agent entry point; public product and technical documentation lives in README.md and docs/.

Safety

  • Read-only commands: search, feed, user, me, explore, check-login, profiles, selectors, contracts.
  • Account-changing commands require explicit user confirmation before execution.
  • Stop on captcha, login, or security-verification pages.
  • Never expose local account state, authentication values, QR codes, or complete security parameters.
  • submitted_unconfirmed is not success and must not be retried automatically.

Execution

Use the JSON CLI instead of importing action modules directly:

uv run python -m scripts <command>

Use --profile <name> for account isolation. Identifiers and xsec_token values should come from the current browser session.

Development

  • Python 3.10 to 3.12.
  • Dependencies: pyproject.toml and committed uv.lock.
  • Default gate: uv run python -m scripts.quality check.
  • Live tests are opt-in with XHS_LIVE_TEST=1 and should use a dedicated account.
  • New public behavior requires tests.
  • Use Conventional Commits.

When changing selectors, use scripts/selectors.py as the source of truth and run tests/test_selectors.py. When changing JSON fields or statuses, update scripts/output_contracts.py and its tests.

Architecture

  • CLI adapter: scripts/__main__.py
  • Browser session and local state: scripts/client.py, scripts/profiles.py, scripts/session_store.py
  • Actions: login, search, feed, user, publish, comment, interact, explore
  • Contracts: scripts/selectors.py, scripts/output_contracts.py
  • Workflows: templates, strategy, SOP

See docs/ARCHITECTURE.md for boundaries and compatibility policy.

Public repository boundary

Public files must contain only product behavior, public APIs, generic examples, and source attribution. Do not add private infrastructure, local workspace paths, internal operator notes, or credentials.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
