claude-code-plugins CLAUDE.md

Repository instructions for a Claude Code plugin marketplace: a repository that lists and distributes multiple Claude Code plugins.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when adding or updating plugins, changing marketplace metadata, following commit conventions, or verifying a plugin locally.
Why use it?
They explain where plugins live, how to register or update them, and how to check changes before release. This helps prevent broken listings, inconsistent versions, and code shared in the wrong place.

Getting it into your agent

One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00312 $0.00312
Opus 5 $0.00156 $0.00156
Sonnet 5 $0.00062 $0.00062
Haiku 4.5 $0.00031 $0.00031

Measured 2d ago against content hash efa3288496e9, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

claude-code-plugins CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Signal Labs Plugins — Repository Instructions

This is a Claude Code plugin marketplace repository. It hosts multiple plugins, each in its own self-contained directory.

Repository layout

  • .claude-plugin/marketplace.json — the registry. Lists every plugin by name, source path, description, and version.
  • <plugin-name>/ — each plugin directory is a complete Claude Code plugin (has its own .claude-plugin/plugin.json).
  • CONTRIBUTING.md — how to add a new plugin.
  • README.md — user-facing install instructions + plugin catalog.

When modifying this repo

  • Adding a new plugin: create the directory, add plugin.json, register in marketplace.json, add a row to README.md's table. See CONTRIBUTING.md.
  • Updating an existing plugin: bump the version in both the plugin's plugin.json AND the marketplace.json entry.
  • Commit conventions: conventional commits (feat:, fix:, docs:). Reference the plugin name in scope: feat(llm-wiki): ....
  • Testing: always verify with claude --plugin-dir ./<plugin-name> before pushing.

What NOT to do

  • Don't put shared code at the repo root — each plugin is self-contained.
  • Don't add dependencies that require pip install or brew install — zero-install is a core principle.
  • Don't forget to update marketplace.json when adding or versioning a plugin.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
