multimodels-mcp: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

multimodels-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from dpmadsen/multimodels-mcp. It costs 1,334 tokens per session, scanned A, a copy of multimodels-mcp AGENTS.md, MIT.

A local MCP server that lets Claude Code hand tasks to other AI models and receive their results for review. It can connect to Codex, DeepSeek, z.ai, OpenRouter, and models running through LM Studio.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to delegate coding, research, or writing tasks from Claude Code to another model, including a model running on your own computer. It is configured and run locally on a Mac.
Why use it?
It avoids switching between separate AI tools when you want different models to handle parts of a task. A local control panel also lets you manage API keys and choose which models are enabled.

Written for Claude Code: the file is CLAUDE.md. Also seen: mentions Claude Code; mentions Codex.

This is dpmadsen/multimodels-mcp's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on multimodels-mcp itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything multimodels-mcp configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01334 $0.01334
Opus 5 $0.00667 $0.00667
Sonnet 5 $0.00267 $0.00267
Haiku 4.5 $0.00133 $0.00133

Measured 7d ago against content hash 4a7bde342d63, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

multimodels-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Origin

This is a copy

92% identical to multimodels-mcp AGENTS.md — 11 lines differ, which has more behind it and is treated as the original. This page carries a canonical link to it rather than competing with it.

Stack e comandos

  • Chaves: SEMPRE no .env (nunca no models.json, nunca no código)

  • Respostas objetivas. Se eu quiser mais detalhes, eu peço.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
