metaswarm CLAUDE.md

metaswarm CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for coding agents from dsifry/metaswarm. It costs 2,687 tokens per session, scanned C, original, MIT.

Project instructions for Metaswarm, a multi-agent framework for Claude Code with commands and a staged workflow for building software.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them to start or review tasks, load project knowledge, run the full workflow for larger changes, and monitor or shepherd pull requests.
Why use it?
They give the agent a consistent way to start work, handle complex features, and apply design, testing, review, and pull-request stages.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.02687 $0.02687
Opus 5 $0.01344 $0.01344
Sonnet 5 $0.00537 $0.00537
Haiku 4.5 $0.00269 $0.00269

Security

Grade C, and why

metaswarm CLAUDE.md scanned grade C with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Hidden instructionshighPrompt injection

Directives inside HTML comments, invisible characters or bidirectional overrides are read by the model and not by the person reviewing the file.

<!-- Document important architectural decisions here so agents have context. These get loaded during knowledge priming (/prime). Use `bd decision` to record decisions persistently in the beads database with rationale tra

Project Instructions

This project uses metaswarm, a multi-agent orchestration framework for Claude Code. It provides 18 specialized agents, a 9-phase development workflow, and quality gates that enforce TDD, coverage thresholds, and spec-driven development.

How to Work in This Project

Starting work

/start-task

This is the default entry point. It primes the agent with relevant knowledge, guides you through scoping, and picks the right level of process for the task.

For complex features (multi-file, spec-driven)

Describe what you want built, include a Definition of Done, and ask for the full workflow:

I want you to build [description]. [Tech stack, DoD items, file scope.]
Use the full metaswarm orchestration workflow.

This triggers the full pipeline: Research → Plan → Design Review Gate → Work Unit Decomposition → Orchestrated Execution (4-phase loop per unit) → Final Review → PR.

Available Commands

Command Purpose
/start-task Begin tracked work on a task
/prime Load relevant knowledge before starting
/review-design Trigger parallel design review gate (5 agents)
/pr-shepherd <pr> Monitor a PR through to merge
/self-reflect Extract learnings after a PR merge
/handoff Write a self-contained handoff doc so a fresh agent can resume the work
/handle-pr-comments Handle PR review comments
/brainstorm Refine an idea before implementation
/create-issue Create a well-structured GitHub Issue
/external-tools-health Check status of external AI tools (Codex, Gemini)
/setup Interactive guided setup — detects project, configures metaswarm
/update Update metaswarm to latest version
/status Run diagnostic checks on your installation
/start Alias for /start-task

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
