FeatherlaneAI: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

FeatherlaneAI AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from ducnguyen67201/FeatherlaneAI. It costs 4,372 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Repository instructions for FeatherlaneAI that tell coding agents how its Rust backend, storage, web dashboard, and project skills are organized.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when changing FeatherlaneAI code, especially Rust services, storage, the Next.js dashboard, or the graphify command.
Why use it?
They prevent agents from putting server logic in the dashboard or ignoring the project's required architecture and implementation checks.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.04372 $0.04372
Opus 5 $0.02186 $0.02186
Sonnet 5 $0.00874 $0.00874
Haiku 4.5 $0.00437 $0.00437

Security

Grade A, and why

FeatherlaneAI AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Repository Agent Instructions

These instructions apply to all AI coding agents working in this repository.

Skills

  • graphify (~/.claude/skills/graphify/SKILL.md) — any input (code, docs, papers, images) → knowledge graph. Trigger: /graphify

When the user types /graphify, invoke the Skill tool with skill: "graphify" before doing anything else.

Architecture: Rust Backend Is the Source of Truth

The dashboard web app must not become a second backend. Featherlane AI has one durable/runtime backend: the Rust service in crates/tl-server, backed by crates/tl-storage. The Next.js app in apps/web is a UI and same-origin proxy layer only.

Authoritative backend ownership:

  • Rust HTTP API: crates/tl-server
  • Rust durable storage: crates/tl-storage
  • Rust wire contracts: crates/tl-core
  • Web dashboard/proxy: apps/web

Target architecture:

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
