This repo is mcp-starter, the omidsaffari Labs scaffold for shipping ONE
narrow MCP server as an authoritative OSS repo. Codex clones it with
gh repo create omidsaffari/<slug> --template omidsaffari/mcp-starter, then fills
it in per this spec. Read this fully before editing.
Doctrine (non-negotiable)
- Wrap one real system; expose a small set of focused tools. Generic "MCP gateway" servers do not win — narrow ones do.
- Never frame as "AI-powered". Lead with the system it connects and the concrete capability it unlocks.
- Metric = forks / awesome-mcp-servers inclusion / npm installs / citations, not stars. Banned lanes: see [[project_oss_doctrine]] in memory.
