echo-qcoder AGENTS.md

A repository instruction file for the echo-qcoder project, which builds a controlled launcher for the local Qwen Code assistant and its private control plugin. It tells coding agents which project rules and security limits to follow.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing this repository to guide code edits, testing, session-control design, credential handling, and verification.
Why use it?
It keeps work consistent by requiring project instructions, approved workspace access, safe handling of credentials, and evidence before claiming that work succeeded.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00219 $0.00219
Opus 5 $0.00110 $0.00110
Sonnet 5 $0.00044 $0.00044
Haiku 4.5 $0.00022 $0.00022

Measured yesterday against content hash ecc5e0486c5a, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

echo-qcoder AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Echo QCoder Agent Instructions

This repository builds the governed local Qwen Code launcher and its private ChatGPT/Codex control plugin.

Before work:

  1. Read C:\ECHO_OMEGA_PRIME\AGENTS.md and its required modules.
  2. Read this repository's CLAUDE.md library-first protocol.
  3. Retrieve moving ECHO state through the current SOL broker; never embed sovereign credentials.
  4. Preserve unrelated changes and use test-first implementation for nontrivial behavior.

Security invariants:

  • Remote plugin tools may control named QCoder sessions, but must never expose a generic shell tool.
  • Constrain workspaces to configured roots and validate ownership server-side.
  • Keep SOL broker tokens and model-provider values out of tool results, browser state, logs, and source control.
  • Separate preview, execution, and stop operations with accurate tool annotations.
  • Do not claim ChatGPT connection, deployment, or public submission without live evidence.

Verification commands will be maintained in README.md and scripts/verify-plugin.ps1 as implementation lands.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
