CLAUDE.md

ekline-docs-skills CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from ekline-io/ekline-docs-skills. It costs 909 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for EkLine Docs Skills, an open-source collection of documentation and technical-writing skills for Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex. They explain the project's structure, goals, and rules for keeping each skill portable and self-contained.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when adding or editing documentation skills, helper scripts, references, or integrations while following the repository's contribution rules.
Why use it?
They tell contributors how to change the repository without breaking its tool-neutral design or requiring accounts and API keys for the core skills.

Instructions file for Claude Code

Written for Claude Code: ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT} variable. Also seen: mentions Claude Code; mentions Codex.

This is ekline-io/ekline-docs-skills's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on ekline-docs-skills itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything ekline-docs-skills configures →

Runs only inside a plugin — its command needs a path that Claude Code sets for a plugin’s own hooks and for nothing else, and the catalogue could not identify which plugin ships it.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00909 $0.00909
Opus 5 $0.00454 $0.00454
Sonnet 5 $0.00182 $0.00182
Haiku 4.5 $0.00091 $0.00091

Measured 9d ago against content hash d30723c058a9, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ekline-docs-skills CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

EkLine Docs Skills — project guide

The open-source hub for documentation & technical-writing skills that run inside AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex), maintained by EkLine. This file is the entry point; deeper context lives in .claude/.

What this is

A set of portable SKILL.md skills that help technical writers review, lint, and maintain docs. Most work with no account or API key; one optionally connects to EkLine.

North star (ethos)

  • Usable out of the box. A technical writer should install and get value with zero setup. Never gate the core behind an account.
  • One skill, every tool. Author each skill once as a self-contained SKILL.md; it runs natively in Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex. No generators, no per-tool rewrites.
  • Vendor-neutral core + EkLine power-ups. The core is tool-agnostic and free; EkLine integrations are clearly marked, optional add-ons.
  • Self-contained & deterministic. Each skill bundles its own scripts/references; helper scripts are stdlib-only Python that emit JSON.

Golden rules (read before changing things)

  1. Keep skills self-contained. skills/<name>/ holds its own SKILL.md + scripts/ + references/. There is no shared/ layer. Paths inside SKILL.md are skill-relative (scripts/x.py, references/x.md) — never ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT} (it does not exist in Cursor/Codex).
  2. Core stays free. New skills default to metadata.tier: core and must not require an EkLine account. Only EkLine-powered skills get tier: ekline plus a Requirements banner.
  3. Cross-tool by default. Don't put Claude-Code-only constructs in skill bodies. The same SKILL.md must work in all three tools.
  4. Helper scripts: Python, standard library only (no pip installs), print JSON to stdout, signal failure with an "error" field, and cap their work (e.g. max N files).
  5. Update the surface together. Adding/removing a skill means updating the README catalog + skill count and the skill-list descriptions in the three plugin manifests (.claude-plugin/, .codex-plugin/, .cursor-plugin/) plus .claude-plugin/marketplace.json. The manifests auto-discover skills/, so no per-skill path edits are needed.
  6. Doc links inside skills that point at this repo use absolute GitHub URLs (skills install outside the repo, so relative paths break).

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
