sfoa-enterprise-mcp: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

sfoa-enterprise-mcp AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from ElioLin/sfoa-enterprise-mcp. It costs 427 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Repository instructions for developing an enterprise Salesforce integration service. Salesforce is a customer-management platform, and an MCP server lets an AI agent call defined tools to work with software systems.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when changing this repository, especially when adding Salesforce tools, providers, adapters, or related packages.
Why use it?
They provide rules for understanding the existing architecture, reusing official Salesforce capabilities, and avoiding duplicate or unnecessarily complex implementations. They also require reading the project's baseline, architecture, engineering, and development documents before making changes.

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md.

This is ElioLin/sfoa-enterprise-mcp's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on sfoa-enterprise-mcp itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything sfoa-enterprise-mcp configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00427 $0.00427
Opus 5 $0.00214 $0.00214
Sonnet 5 $0.00085 $0.00085
Haiku 4.5 $0.00043 $0.00043

Security

Grade A, and why

sfoa-enterprise-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

SFoA Enterprise MCP agent bootstrap

This repository is sfoa-enterprise-mcp, an SFoA-owned enterprise runtime extending the official Salesforce DX MCP codebase.

For development, review, debugging, testing, deployment, operations, MySQL, Salesforce, identity, governance, DML, or P7 Audit work, read the project Skill at .agents/skills/sfoa-mcp-maintainer/SKILL.md and only the references relevant to the task.

The Skill is advisory context, not a reasoning boundary. Current source code, runtime behavior, database state, logs, P7 Audit evidence, Salesforce API responses, and tests are the facts. Investigate conflicts; do not blindly follow stale guidance.

Before planning or editing, also read:

  1. docs/sfoa/PROJECT_BASELINE.md
  2. docs/sfoa/ARCHITECTURE.md
  3. docs/sfoa/MCP_ENGINEERING_RULES.md
  4. docs/sfoa/UPSTREAM_STRATEGY.md
  5. The nearest package README.md / DEVELOPING.md

Keep the upstream-first order: reuse an official Tool, extend the Provider/composition seam, reuse an official SDK, then add a minimal standard-API implementation. Avoid style-only edits to upstream-owned code. Record unavoidable upstream-file changes in UPSTREAM_STRATEGY.md.

Preserve request-scoped identity, Salesforce authorization, stdio and Streamable HTTP, strict TypeScript, default-deny Tool/DML governance, and Audit fail-open semantics. Runtime incidents should be investigated with P7 Audit evidence when available.

Never print or commit .env.local, passwords, access/Buntu/USER_BOUND tokens, JWT/private-key material, encryption/session secrets, or unredacted authorization records.

When durable architecture, package/schema topology, commands, deployment, or troubleshooting knowledge changes, update the canonical skills/sfoa-mcp-maintainer, project baseline/changelog/ADR as applicable, then run yarn skill:sync, yarn skill:check, and yarn skill:test.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
