.github/copilot-instructions.md

intentflow-ios copilot-instructions.md is an instructions file for GitHub Copilot from emrecanozturk/intentflow-ios. It costs 276 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for an iOS app built with IntentFlow, an architecture that describes app behavior as states, user intentions, events, effects, and routes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when adding or editing Swift features, AI-mode manifests, reducers, asynchronous work, navigation, parent communication, display formatting, and workflow tests.
Why use it?
They give coding agents a consistent way to change workflows while keeping business logic separate from screens and external services.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00276 $0.00276
Opus 5 $0.00138 $0.00138
Sonnet 5 $0.00055 $0.00055
Haiku 4.5 $0.00028 $0.00028

Measured 6d ago against content hash 695171b8e882, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

intentflow-ios copilot-instructions.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

IntentFlow Copilot Instructions

This repository uses IntentFlow architecture. Treat .intentflow.yaml manifests as source-of-truth contracts for AI-mode features.

When generating or editing code:

  • Read .ai/agent-context.md and the relevant manifest before touching implementation files.
  • Model product behavior before UI.
  • Add or update State, Intent, Event, Effect, Output, and Route before writing adapters.
  • Keep reducers pure. Do not call network, database, analytics, storage, timers, or UI APIs from reducers.
  • Put async work in FlowEffectHandler.
  • Use EffectID for long-running, repeatable, or replaceable work.
  • Represent navigation as Route.
  • Represent parent communication as Output.
  • Keep SwiftUI views and UIKit view controllers as adapters.
  • Put display formatting in FlowProjection.
  • Add transition tests for every new workflow branch.
  • For AI mode, update the .intentflow.yaml manifest before changing the Swift contract.
  • Do not add hidden callbacks when a typed output or route would express the behavior.
  • Prefer compact context from swift run intentflow ai-context <manifest> --tool copilot.
  • Apply .github/instructions/*.instructions.md for path-specific Swift and documentation rules.

Generated code is incomplete unless it includes tests for the transition it introduces.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
