supyagent CLAUDE.md

supyagent CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for coding agents from ergodic-ai/supyagent. It costs 725 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository-specific instructions for Supyagent, a command-line tool that connects AI agents to services such as Gmail, Slack, GitHub, and Calendar. It documents the commands, project structure, tests, linting, authentication, and configuration storage.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when developing Supyagent, running all tests or one test file, checking or automatically fixing lint errors, and working on its service connections or generated skill files.
Why use it?
It tells contributors how to install the project, run checks, find important source files, and understand how the command-line tool communicates with its service.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00725 $0.00725
Opus 5 $0.00362 $0.00362
Sonnet 5 $0.00145 $0.00145
Haiku 4.5 $0.00072 $0.00072

Security

Grade A, and why

supyagent CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Architecture

Supyagent is a cloud CLI that connects AI agents to third-party services (Gmail, Slack, GitHub, Calendar, etc.) via the supyagent service API. Users authenticate with supyagent connect, then use cloud tools from the CLI or generate skill files for AI coding assistants.

Source Files

File Purpose
supyagent/cli/main.py CLI entry point — all commands (Click-based)
supyagent/cli/skills.py SKILL.md file generation for AI coding assistants
supyagent/core/config.py ConfigManager — Fernet-encrypted key storage in ~/.supyagent/config/
supyagent/core/service.py ServiceClient — HTTP client for supyagent service API, device auth flow
supyagent/utils/binary.py Binary content materialization (PDFs, images from API responses)

CLI Commands

Command Purpose
supyagent connect Device authorization flow to authenticate with the service
supyagent disconnect Remove stored credentials
supyagent status Show connection status and available tools
supyagent inbox View/manage webhook events from connected integrations
supyagent doctor Diagnose setup (connectivity, config, tools)
supyagent config set/list/delete/import/export Manage encrypted API keys
supyagent service tools List available cloud tools
supyagent service run <tool> '<json>' Execute a cloud tool directly
supyagent service inbox Detailed inbox management
supyagent skills generate Generate SKILL.md files for AI coding assistants

How It Works

  1. supyagent connect runs a device auth flow against the supyagent service (https://app.supyagent.com)
  2. The API key is stored encrypted in ~/.supyagent/config/
  3. ServiceClient uses the key to call GET /api/v1/tools (discovery) and execute tools via HTTP
  4. skills generate transforms discovered tools into SKILL.md files that Claude Code, Cursor, etc. can use

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

supyagent CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository ergodic-ai/supyagent (5 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 725 tokens to every session, about $0.0036 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
