esa-skills: Instructions file for Claude Code

AGENTS.md

esa-skills AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode from esaio/esa-skills. It costs 1,541 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for esa skills, which let coding agents operate the esa CLI, a command-line tool for the esa team knowledge platform. The repository supports Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI, and Codex CLI from one shared skill source.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when editing the esa skill, updating agent or marketplace metadata, maintaining shared assets, or running the validation script.
Why use it?
They keep the different agent manifests and marketplace files aligned with the single source of truth. They also define checks for the repository's required structure and validation rules.

This is esaio/esa-skills's own configuration. It tells Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode how to work on esa-skills itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything esa-skills configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01541 $0.01541
Opus 5 $0.00771 $0.00771
Sonnet 5 $0.00308 $0.00308
Haiku 4.5 $0.00154 $0.00154

Security

Grade A, and why

esa-skills AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

  • skills/esa-cli/SKILL.md — スキル定義の唯一の正本
  • .cursor-plugin/marketplace.json — Cursor チームマーケットプレイス定義
  • assets/logo.svg.cursor-plugin/plugin.json が参照するロゴ
  • scripts/validate.mjs — 不変条件の検証

https://code.claude.com/docs/en/plugin-marketplaces
https://learn.chatgpt.com/docs/build-plugins
https://github.com/google-gemini/gemini-cli/blob/main/docs/extensions/writing-extensions.md
https://github.com/cursor/plugin-template

スキル名を変える場合はディレクトリ名・name.claude-plugin/marketplace.jsonskills を揃えて変更する。

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
