FPGSkills: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

FPGSkills AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from felipepg22/FPGSkills. It costs 779 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for FPGSkills, a collection of installable coding-agent definitions and skills. They describe where runtime files belong and which commands check the repository.

In plain words
What is it for?
They are for contributing to FPGSkills, regenerating adapters, running tests and validation, and keeping installable skill payloads separate from development files.
Why use it?
They prevent changes from breaking the repository's file layout, platform rules, generated files, or validation process.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00779 $0.00779
Opus 5.5 $0.00312 $0.00312
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00156 $0.00156
Haiku 4.5 $0.00078 $0.00078

Security

Grade A, and why

FPGSkills AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Repository instructions

Scope

Apply these instructions across the repository. FPGSkills contains portable agent definitions and directly installable skill payloads; keep behavior in canonical sources and distribution artifacts reproducible.

Essential workflow

  • Use Node.js 22.20.0 or newer and install dependencies with npm install.
  • Keep changes scoped and preserve platform and host permission precedence.
  • Use the root scripts as the canonical checks:
    • npm run generate regenerates Task Executor adapters.
    • npm test builds workspaces and runs repository tests.
    • npm run validate checks generated adapters and skill payloads.
    • npm run pack:check verifies the Task Executor package contents.
  • Run focused checks while iterating, then run all checks relevant to the changed artifact before completion. Documentation-only changes need only focused checks.

Repository boundaries

  • Treat every directory directly under skills/ as an installable runtime payload. Keep tests, evaluations, package configuration, and other development-only files outside those directories. See docs/architecture.md.
  • Put reusable agents under agents/, repository-wide guidance under docs/, and shared tooling under packages/ only after it has a proven cross-artifact use.
  • Do not add agent-specific installation paths to portable skill payloads.
  • Update user-facing documentation when installation or distribution behavior changes.

Route by task

Task Executor

  • Before changing Task Executor, read agents/task-executor/README.md and CONTRIBUTING.md.
  • Edit agents/task-executor/agent.json for metadata and agents/task-executor/core/prompt.md for behavior. Do not edit generated files under agents/task-executor/adapters/ directly.
  • After canonical-source changes, run npm run generate, inspect every changed adapter, then run npm test, npm run validate, and npm run pack:check.
  • When behavior changes, run the relevant manual scenarios documented in agents/task-executor/evals/README.md.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
