last30flames CLAUDE.md

last30flames CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for coding agents from firecrawl/last30flames. It costs 232 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for a data-gathering application called last30flames. They define which public sources the project may use and set limits such as no login-only social media access or built-in language-model calls.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when developing or changing last30flames, especially when adding data sources, engagement metrics, or research features.
Why use it?
They prevent features from relying on restricted or unsuitable data sources and keep the application independent of a particular AI system.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00232 $0.00232
Opus 5 $0.00116 $0.00116
Sonnet 5 $0.00046 $0.00046
Haiku 4.5 $0.00023 $0.00023

Measured 4d ago against content hash 2d2e197983e5, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

last30flames CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

last30flames - project constraints

Data sources (hard rule)

This project must only gather data through:

  • The Firecrawl CLI (web search + full-page content).
  • Open, public APIs that publish engagement numbers openly and permit this use, currently the Hacker News Algolia API, the Lobste.rs JSON feeds, the Bluesky AT Protocol API, and the official GitHub API.

Never add sources that scrape or access Reddit, X/Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, or any platform behind a login, cookie, or whose Terms of Service such access may violate. If a proposed feature needs such a source, the answer is no - reframe it around Firecrawl search of the open web instead. This rule is also stated in skills/last30flames/SKILL.md (the runtime copy) - keep the two in sync if either changes.

Design constraints

New features must preserve the design principles in the README: keyless by default (keys only raise rate limits), no LLM calls in the engine (the agent harness does the synthesis), and no harness-specific assumptions.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
