flin-linkedin-ads-mcp: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

flin-linkedin-ads-mcp AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from flin-agency/flin-linkedin-ads-mcp. It costs 304 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for maintaining and releasing a LinkedIn Ads MCP server. MCP is a standard way for an AI assistant to call external tools; these instructions cover publishing packages and GitHub release files.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when changing release workflows, publishing versions to PyPI and GitHub, checking hashes, handling macOS checks and managing automatic update behavior.
Why use it?
They prevent a release from being reported as complete when one distribution channel or required verification is missing. They also clarify how to recover failed publishing without changing released files.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00304 $0.00304
Opus 5.5 $0.00122 $0.00122
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00061 $0.00061
Haiku 4.5 $0.00030 $0.00030

Security

Grade A, and why

flin-linkedin-ads-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Release policy

  • Every server release must be published to both PyPI and GitHub. This is an explicit user requirement: existing PyPI/uvx installations depend on PyPI releases for updates.
  • Do not report a release as complete until the exact version and distribution hashes have been verified on PyPI and the GitHub installation assets are available.
  • Use .github/workflows/release.yml and its pypi environment for Trusted Publishing. The workflow can recover an existing tag through workflow_dispatch with release_tag.
  • A queued macOS runner must not block PyPI: the release builder runs on Linux, while macOS checks run separately in CI. Do not cancel publishing and deliver GitHub only.
  • Preserve published tags and files. For code changes, create a new version; for a failed publication, recover the existing version without changing its source or artifacts.
  • Distinguish PyPI updates from the update behavior of the desktop extension. Do not claim that a bundled, locked MCPB automatically updates its server through PyPI.
  • From v0.3.2, the user explicitly requires automatic stable PyPI server updates when Claude Desktop restarts. Keep the launcher free of bundled server modules and a bundled lockfile; these would prevent or shadow updates. The supported update range is 0.x.
  • Test the package before publishing with the built wheel, then again against public PyPI.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
