A startup instruction for fms-odata-mcp that tells a coding agent to read the repository's CLAUDE.md file first.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it at the beginning of a coding session in the fms-odata-mcp repository.
Why use it?
It ensures the agent reads the project's main guidance before doing any work, when that guidance may contain essential rules.

This is fsans/fms-odata-mcp's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on fms-odata-mcp itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything fms-odata-mcp configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00289 $0.00289
Opus 5.5 $0.00116 $0.00116
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00058 $0.00058
Haiku 4.5 $0.00029 $0.00029

Security

Grade A, and why

fms-odata-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 14d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

AGENTS.md

When starting always read first the CLAUDE.md file

Never commit customer-specific names or credentials

  • Customer-specific connection names, hostnames, usernames, or deployment details from handoff documents must NEVER appear anywhere in this repo — not in source, tests, fixtures, docs, or commit messages. They are private customer cases. Use fully generic fixture names in tests (e.g. conn-a, conn-b, fms-a.example.com, user_a) and generic wording in commit messages. Handoff/notes files describing customer setups stay untracked and are never staged or committed.

Never forget — known FileMaker OData limitations

  • Cannot filter on the internal id field: FileMaker's OData parser rejects any comparison operator on the reserved id field (id eq, id gt, id lt, id ge, id le, id ne) with error -1002 "syntax error in URL at: ' eq '". This is a FileMaker Server limitation, not a bug in this codebase. Use other fields (e.g. row_id, uuid) or functions like contains()/startswith() on text fields instead. See the "Known FileMaker OData limitations" section in CLAUDE.md.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
