test-automation-skills-agents: Instructions file for Claude Code

AGENTS.md

test-automation-skills-agents AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode from fugazi/test-automation-skills-agents. It costs 912 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository guidance for a tool-independent catalogue of AI agents and skills for test automation. It explains the folder layout, the single structural linter, and rules that cannot be inferred from the files.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when adding or updating agents, skills, instructions, documentation, or integration metadata, and when checking changes with the repository linter.
Why use it?
It gives contributors the repository context needed to edit content consistently without duplicating detailed authoring guidance.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00912 $0.00912
Opus 5 $0.00456 $0.00456
Sonnet 5 $0.00182 $0.00182
Haiku 4.5 $0.00091 $0.00091

Measured 12d ago against content hash 6cd06a9e62ec, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-12, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

test-automation-skills-agents AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 48 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

AGENTS.md

AI Agents & Skills repository for test automation. Content is tool-agnostic — usable with GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, OpenCode, Windsurf, and similar AI assistants, and consumed by multiple frontier models (Claude 5, GPT-Sol, GLM-5.2, and others). File formats and folder conventions follow widely-shared conventions; any tool-specific adapters (e.g., .github/, .claude-plugin/) are optional integration layers, not the source of truth.

This file holds only the rules you cannot infer from the filesystem. Authoring depth lives in the canonical guides — don't duplicate it here.

Layout

agents/ # *.agent.md — agent definitions
skills/ # */SKILL.md — testing skills (with references/ scripts/ templates/)
instructions/ # *.instructions.md — lean, description-activated coding essentials
docs/ # setup guides + authoring standards (references/ enhancements/ archive/)
references/ # shared reference material
scripts/ # lint-skills.mjs — structural linter (the only validation)
.claude-plugin/ # Claude Code plugin/marketplace metadata (optional adapter)
CHANGELOG.md # release history (Keep a Changelog + SemVer)

Lint (the only validation)

No build system. Structural lint enforces the skill-anatomy standard — 0 errors required:

node scripts/lint-skills.mjs # exit code 0 = pass

Checks (errors): frontmatter with name + description, name matches folder, description ≤ 1024 chars, SKILL.md ≤ 500 lines, intra-skill link resolution, kebab-case filenames, Selenium rules (no WebDriverManager anywhere; Maven-only, no Gradle). Warnings (allowed): references > 300 lines, missing back-link headers. Runs in CI on PRs touching skills/, agents/, or instructions/.

Non-inferable rules

  • No pinned models. Do not set model in frontmatter — the harness selects it.
  • Skills are agent-agnostic. Skills never reference specific agents.
  • Single-tag taxonomy. Exactly one tag per test — @smoke, @sanity, @regression, @e2e, @api, @destructive — never on test.describe()/class level, never combined; @destructive (mutates shared/global state) is excluded from parallel runs and run sequentially.
  • YAML quoting. description values MUST use single quotes (description: '...'). The name field follows Agent Skills conventions and may be unquoted (name: skill-name).
  • Tool aliases in frontmatter use lowercase: read, edit, search, execute, agent, web. MCP servers: playwright/*, github/*, server-name/tool-name.
  • Dynamic values in prompts use ${variableName}.
  • Lean instructions, deep skills. Instructions stay short (30–60 lines) with non-negotiable rules only; all depth lives in the matching skill, loaded progressively.
  • Test Constitution. The QA Orchestrator (agents/qa-orchestrator.agent.md) owns the canonical MUST DO / WON'T DO set; specialist agents carry only the domain-relevant subset — never duplicate the full set. Only the orchestrator sets infer: false.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
