Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00866 | $0.00866 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00433 | $0.00433 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00173 | $0.00173 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00087 | $0.00087 |
Grade A, and why
rekordbox-mcp-main CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
This is a copy
100% identical to rekordbox-mcp CLAUDE.md — 0 lines differ, which has more behind it and is treated as the original. This page carries a canonical link to it rather than competing with it.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 53 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
CLAUDE.md
This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.
What This Is
An MCP server that provides Claude with direct read/write access to the rekordbox DJ software database. Built with FastMCP and pyrekordbox, it connects to rekordbox's encrypted SQLite (SQLCipher) database to expose 31 tools and 1 resource for searching tracks, importing new audio files, managing playlists, analyzing DJ history, and computing library statistics.
Commands
# Install dependencies
uv sync
# Run the MCP server
uv run rekordbox-mcp
uv run rekordbox-mcp --database-path /path/to/Pioneer # custom path
# Code quality
uv run black rekordbox_mcp/ # format
uv run ruff rekordbox_mcp/ # lint
uv run mypy rekordbox_mcp/ # type check
# Run tests (90 tests, mocked pyrekordbox — no real database needed)
uv run pytest tests/ -v
Architecture
Three-layer design in rekordbox_mcp/:
-
server.py-- FastMCP server. Defines all MCP tools as decorated async functions, manages a globalRekordboxDatabaseinstance, handles signals (SIGINT/SIGTERM). Entry point ismain(). Tools are grouped: search/discovery, playlist operations, track import, DJ history, library analytics, cleanup, and database management. -
database.py--RekordboxDatabaseclass. Wraps pyrekordbox'sRekordbox6Databasefor encrypted SQLite access. Auto-detects the database path per platform (~/Library/Pioneeron macOS,~/AppData/Roaming/Pioneeron Windows). Lazy connection on first tool call. All queries filter soft-deleted records (rb_local_deleted). Mutation methods auto-create timestamped backups (master_backup_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.db) before writes. -
models.py-- Pydantic models for Track, Playlist, HistorySession, HistoryTrack, SearchOptions, LibraryStats, HistoryStats. Validators handle date parsing and range constraints.
Connection flow: MCP client request -> server.py tool handler -> ensure_database_connected() -> RekordboxDatabase.connect() (first call only) -> pyrekordbox SQLCipher decryption -> query/mutate.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
