gdgxica.github.io: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

gdgxica.github.io CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from GDGXICA/gdgxica.github.io. It costs 2,435 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for an Astro static website for a Spanish-speaking GDG community. Astro builds pages from files, while React is used only for interactive parts and content is fetched from a separate GitHub repository during builds.

In plain words
What is it for?
Adding or editing community pages, event routes, data endpoints, content loaders, and interactive components while keeping the static build and automated checks working.
Why use it?
They show agents where pages and data come from, how URLs are organized, and which formatting and pre-commit checks apply.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.02435 $0.02435
Opus 5 $0.01218 $0.01218
Sonnet 5 $0.00487 $0.00487
Haiku 4.5 $0.00244 $0.00244

Measured 8d ago against content hash 6d6b6b2010ed, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

gdgxica.github.io CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 106 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

CLAUDE.md

This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

Pre-commit hooks run automatically via Husky + lint-staged (ESLint + Prettier on staged files).

Architecture

Astro 7 static site (default output: "static" — no adapter, so there are no SSR routes) for the GDG ICA community (Spanish-language content). TailwindCSS 4 for styling, React 19 only for interactive islands.

Routing & Pages

File-based routing under src/pages/:

  • / — Homepage
  • /events — Events listing
  • /events/[slug] — Dynamic event detail pages (slug = JSON filename without extension)
  • /team, /about, /sponsors, /volunteers, /gallery — Static pages
  • *.json.ts endpoints — API routes returning collection data

Data Layer

All content is sourced from the external repo GDGXICA/gdg-ica-data via custom Astro Content Loaders that fetch from raw.githubusercontent.com at build time. Schemas are defined with Zod in src/content.config.ts.

Loaders (src/loaders/):

  • fetch-gdg-data.ts — Base fetch utility with caching + helpers (stripDomain, formatSpanishDate, expandCategory, etc.)
  • transform-events.ts — Fetches events + resolves speaker_ids into embedded speaker objects
  • transform-team.ts — Splits about/team.json into organizers and members collections by type field
  • transform-sponsors.ts — Transforms about/partners.json into sponsors schema
  • transform-gallery.ts — Transforms gallery with derived type from tag
  • transform-volunteers.ts — Loads volunteers (graceful fallback to [] if not yet available)

Collections: events, gallery, members, organizers, sponsors, volunteers.

Events are the most complex: each has speakers (resolved from speaker refs), sponsors, schedule (flat array or TrackSessions for multi-track), location, status, category, tags, and registration link.

Component Pattern

  • .astro components — Used for all static/SSR content (no JS sent to browser). Located in src/components/.
  • .jsx/.tsx React components — Only for client-side interactivity (src/components/react/). Public: Gallery.jsx, SharedButton.jsx. Admin panel: src/components/react/admin/.
  • Path alias: @/ maps to src/

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
