.github/copilot-instructions.md

ccem copilot-instructions.md is an instructions file for GitHub Copilot from Genuifx/ccem. It costs 1,432 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A set of instructions for GitHub Copilot, an AI coding tool, when working on the ccem project. It explains the design context, intended users, brand personality, visual direction, and the reasoning behind the design.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for guiding interface and product work where the project's audience, tone, and appearance matter.
Why use it?
It helps the agent make changes that fit the project's users and visual identity.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01432 $0.01432
Opus 5.5 $0.00573 $0.00573
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00286 $0.00286
Haiku 4.5 $0.00143 $0.00143

Security

Grade A, and why

ccem copilot-instructions.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Design Context

Users

Mixed audience with different needs:

  • Indie developers: Using ccem as their daily driver, switching between models frequently throughout the workday
  • Power users: Running multiple sessions simultaneously, leveraging remote control (Telegram/WeChat), cron tasks, and advanced features
  • Teams: Coordinating shared API configurations, managing costs together

Context of use: A professional tool that developers keep open all day, switching between quick glances (checking session status, usage stats) and deep focus (reading conversation history, debugging API requests, configuring environments).

Brand Personality

Professional, reliable, efficient

This is a serious tool for serious work. It should feel:

  • Professional: Polished, native-feeling, worthy of being in a developer's daily toolkit
  • Reliable: Stable, predictable, trustworthy - no gimmicks or unnecessary flourishes
  • Efficient: Fast to scan, easy to navigate, respects the user's time and attention

Aesthetic Direction

Contextual glassmorphism - inspired by macOS System Settings, Raycast, and Arc Browser.

The key insight: these apps don't use glassmorphism everywhere. They use it strategically:

  • Glass for chrome: Sidebar, headers, modals, overlays - surfaces that frame content but aren't the content itself
  • Solid for content: Reading areas, data tables, conversation history, forms - anywhere information density matters

Why This Works

Glassmorphism creates spatial hierarchy - it signals "this is navigation/chrome" vs "this is content." When everything is glass, nothing stands out. When glass is reserved for framing elements, it creates clear visual zones.

Current implementation (keep this approach):

  • ✅ Sidebar: Glass (provides ambient, non-intrusive navigation)
  • ✅ Modals/overlays: Glass (floats above content, clearly temporary)
  • ✅ Dashboard cards: Light glass (quick-glance metrics, not dense reading)
  • ✅ Conversation history: Solid warm surfaces (Medium-style reading cards for long-form content)
  • ✅ Forms/settings: Solid surfaces (clarity for input fields and configuration)

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
