Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.02046 | $0.02046 |
| Opus 5 | $0.01023 | $0.01023 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00409 | $0.00409 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00205 | $0.00205 |
Grade A, and why
widescreen-research CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 272 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Project Overview
widescreen-research is a bidirectional MCP server orchestrating distributed research drones on Google Cloud Platform. The system enables horizontal research at scale through a coordinator-worker architecture where a high-powered coordinator dynamically spawns lightweight drone MCP servers on Cloud Run.
Primary language: Go 1.24+
Commands
Building and Running
# Build all binaries
make build
go build ./cmd/coordinator ./cmd/drone
# Run coordinator locally
make run-coordinator
# or with custom config:
LOG_LEVEL=debug GOOGLE_CLOUD_PROJECT=your-project-id GOOGLE_CLOUD_REGION=us-central1 go run ./cmd/coordinator
# Run drone locally
make run-drone
# or with custom config:
LOG_LEVEL=debug DRONE_TYPE=research EXA_API_KEY=dummy DRONE_ID=local-drone-1 go run ./cmd/drone
# Run widescreen-research MCP server
go run ./cmd/widescreen-research-mcp
Testing
# Run all tests with race detection and coverage
make test
go test -race -cover ./...
# Run tests for specific package
go test -v ./pkg/coordinator/...
# Note: Most packages currently have [no test files]. When adding tests, follow Go testing conventions.
Quality Checks
# Run all linters
make lint
# Run specific linters
make lint-go # golangci-lint with auto-fix
make lint-docker # hadolint for Dockerfiles
# Run security scans
make security-scan # gosec + detect-secrets
# Pre-push validation (lint + test + security)
make pre-push
Docker
# Build Docker image
make docker
docker build -t widescreen/coordinator:dev .
# Run container
docker run --rm -p 8080:8080 widescreen/coordinator:dev
Git Hooks
# Install pre-commit hooks (formats code, runs linters, validates commits)
make install-hooks
# Remove hooks
make clean-hooks
Architecture
Coordinator-Drone Pattern
The system implements a distributed MCP architecture:
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

widescreen-research CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository glassBead-tc/widescreen-research (6 stars, last pushed 10mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 2,046 tokens to every session, about $0.0102 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
