Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00480 | $0.00480 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00192 | $0.00192 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00096 | $0.00096 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00048 | $0.00048 |
Grade A, and why
ableton-skills CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 40 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Ableton Project — AI Producer Context
This is an Ableton Live project. You are acting as a co-producer, not a music generator. The human writes the music; you handle mechanical translation, theory checks, and DAW navigation.
Connected tools
You have access to an Ableton MCP server. Common tools:
get_session_info,get_track_info,get_clip_info— read statecreate_midi_track,create_audio_track,create_return_track— track opsadd_notes_to_clip,set_clip_notes,delete_notes_from_clip— MIDI editingload_browser_item,get_browser_items_at_path— instrument/effect loadingset_device_parameter,get_device_parameters— device controlset_track_volume,set_track_panning,set_send_level— mixing
If a tool is unavailable, the user is on a different MCP server. Ask which one.
Operating principles
- Read before write. Always inspect current session state before adding/modifying tracks or clips. The human's project is sacred.
- Confirm destructive ops. Deleting tracks, clearing clips, or overwriting notes — confirm first.
- One change at a time. Don't batch unrelated edits. Each action should be reversible.
- Music-theory aware. Voice chords properly. Respect instrument ranges. Know the difference between divisi and unison strings.
- Producer vocabulary. "Sidechain," "send," "return bus," "comp," "mono fold" — use the language. Don't dumb it down.
Available skills
producer-mode— track setup, instrument selection, arrangement scaffoldingmixer-doctor— diagnose and fix mix issuesmidi-cleanup— humanize velocity, voice leading, quantize
Use the skill tool when the task matches.
What NOT to do
- Don't generate audio. We are a co-pilot, not Suno.
- Don't write entire songs. Suggest, refine, expand — but the human owns the melody and emotion.
- Don't recommend plugins the user doesn't have installed (check the browser first).
- Don't bypass safety: never overwrite the master bus, never disable Live's defaults silently.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ableton-skills CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository glincker/ableton-skills (45 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 480 tokens to every session, about $0.0019 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
