CLAUDE.md

pergent CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from gopaytech/pergent. It costs 1,866 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of project instructions for Claude Code, an AI coding assistant, in the pergent repository.

In plain words
What is it for?
Understanding pergent, navigating its architecture, resolving configuration, and following the project’s build and test process.
Why use it?
It gives the assistant the project’s structure, terminology, build and test steps, and configuration priority so it can work with the repository’s conventions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01866 $0.01866
Opus 5.5 $0.00746 $0.00746
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00373 $0.00373
Haiku 4.5 $0.00187 $0.00187

Security

Grade A, and why

pergent CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

pergent

CLI tool that runs agentic PR/MR reviews in CI/CD pipelines by spawning opencode as a subprocess.

Architecture

  • cmd/main.go — CLI entrypoint, flag parsing, orchestration
  • cmd/agent.go — pergent agent: flags, checkout checks, scrub, run, delivery, exit codes
  • internal/skill/ — Parses .md skill files (YAML frontmatter name/paths/exclude/cross_batch + body); Prompt() adds the default ## Blocking section and pergent's fixed output-format instructions. LoadDir takes *.md files and <name>/SKILL.md folders, symlinks followed (ConfigMap volumes); a folder without SKILL.md is an error
  • internal/diff/ — Splits a unified diff into per-file patches, classifies default exclusions (deleted, binary, lockfile, vendored, generated), matches globs, and groups files into token-budgeted batches
  • internal/finding/ — The Finding type (file, line, severity, title, explanation, fix), stable fingerprints, dedup
  • internal/review/ — Runs a whole review: per skill selects files, batches them, runs one opencode run per batch (plus a repair run, an optional cross-batch run and a verification run), and decides each skill's verdict; one shared concurrency limit and time budget
  • internal/config/ — Resolves config (flags > env > auto-detect), generates temporary opencode.json
  • internal/runner/ — Spawns opencode run subprocess, parses NDJSON output, classifies the run (completed or failed with a cause), retries transient provider errors, enforces timeout and step limit; passes opencode's stderr through redacted line by line
  • internal/output/ — Formats per-skill review results (verdict, findings, failures) into a single markdown comment with HTML dedup markers and a hidden findings block; parses that block back for --previous-review
  • internal/result/ — Agent-mode result: schema v1 types, error codes, finding IDs, 10 MB size cap (Encode), delivery to file/stdout/HTTP (Deliver)
  • internal/redact/ — Removes credentials (token env values, bearer tokens, URL keys) from the comment and logs
  • internal/platform/ — GitHub/GitLab API clients for fetching diffs and posting/updating comments

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
