griptape-nodes-library-blender: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

griptape-nodes-library-blender CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from griptape-ai/griptape-nodes-library-blender. It costs 556 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Repository instructions for maintaining a Blender node library's changelog. Blender is software for creating 3D scenes, and nodes are building blocks that artists connect into workflows.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when adding, changing, deprecating, removing, or fixing nodes, parameters, outputs, providers, or saved-workflow behavior, and when preparing the corresponding changelog entry.
Why use it?
They prevent user-visible changes from being omitted or recorded in the wrong changelog format. They also keep release notes consistent for both artists and the agents maintaining the library.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00556 $0.00556
Opus 5.5 $0.00222 $0.00222
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00111 $0.00111
Haiku 4.5 $0.00056 $0.00056

Security

Grade A, and why

griptape-nodes-library-blender CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Changelog

CHANGELOG.md follows Keep a Changelog 2.0.0. Each version is the library_version in blender/griptape_nodes_library.json. Its readers are artists using these nodes and the agents that build workflows with them.

Add an entry for every user-facing change - In the same PR, add a file to changelog.d/ holding the entry. User-facing means anything a user notices after updating the library: a node added, removed, or renamed; a parameter, default, or output that differs; a provider model added or retired; a saved workflow that loads or runs differently. After adding one, tell the user so they can review the wording.

One file per entry, named for its type - Never edit ## [Unreleased] in CHANGELOG.md directly; make check/changelog rejects it. Create changelog.d/<type>-<slug>.md, where <type> is one of added, changed, deprecated, removed, fixed, or security, and <slug> is a few lowercase words joined by hyphens. The whole file is the bullet, with no heading. make changelog prints [Unreleased] with these files folded in. changelog.d/README.md is the same contract for humans.

Skip what users never see - Refactors, tests, CI, docs-only changes, and dev dependency bumps get no entry. Neither does a fix for a bug that never shipped in a version: edit or delete the entry that introduced it.

Describe the result, not the code - Name the node and parameter in backticks or by their editor label, say what the user sees now, present tense, one or two sentences. Fixed if the old behavior was a bug, Changed if it was intentional. Link the GitHub issue on its own last line. Leave out PR numbers and @handles. Wrap at about 100 characters, continuation lines indented two spaces.

Mark breaking changes - A change that makes a saved workflow stop working, or give a different result, without edits starts with **Breaking:**. Say what breaks and what to do about it.

Leave CHANGELOG.md to the version bump - Do not add version headings or link definitions. make version/patch, make version/minor, make version/major, and make version/set fold the changelog.d/ entries into the new version section and delete them. Fixing a mistake in a released entry is fine.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
