Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00801 | $0.00801 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00400 | $0.00400 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00160 | $0.00160 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00080 | $0.00080 |
Grade A, and why
mcp-video-analyzer AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 42 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
AGENTS.md

Analyzing a video
Preferred: install the video skill and follow its contract — skills/video/SKILL.md:
npx skills add guimatheus92/mcp-video-analyzer
Without the skill, the one-shot CLI works from any shell (Node 22.12+ only; ffmpeg is bundled):
npx -y mcp-video-analyzer@latest analyze "<video-url-or-path>"
stdout is a single JSON document (metadata, transcript, ocrResults, timeline, warnings, and frames as { time, filePath, mimeType } → JPEG key frames on disk). Progress goes to stderr. Read the frame images for visual questions; answer with timestamps. analyze --help lists all flags.
MCP alternative
If your agent supports MCP, register the stdio server instead — richer tool set (analyze_video, analyze_moment, get_transcript, get_metadata, get_frames, get_frame_at, get_frame_burst, analyze_videos) with frames returned inline:
{ "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "mcp-video-analyzer@latest"] }
Notes
- Platform URLs (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, …) need
yt-dlpon PATH; direct.mp4/.webm/.movURLs and local files don't. Loom transcript/metadata/comments don't either. Loom frames usually do — most Loom videos are separate DASH video+audio streams that onlyyt-dlpmerges; a CDN fallback covers some without it. - The
warningsarray carries actionable hints (yt-dlp install, cookies viaYTDLP_COOKIES_FROM_BROWSER, Whisper backends) — relay them, don't treat them as errors. - Only
http(s)URLs to public addresses are fetched.localhost, LAN/private ranges,.localnames, UNC paths and non-HTTP schemes are refused by design — if the user genuinely wants a video off their own network, tell them to setMCP_ALLOW_PRIVATE_URLS=1, don't retry the URL. Cloud metadata endpoints stay blocked regardless. - An empty transcript plus a "silent audio" warning means the video has no speech; that's content, not a failure.
- Frames are emitted at 800 px wide by default. For a dense UI capture (terminal, dashboard, IDE, spreadsheet) that downscale drops small text below what a vision model can read — pass
maxWidthon the MCP frame tools (0= source resolution), or--max-width <px>on the CLI. Native frames cost several times more context, so use it for the close read, not the overview.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

mcp-video-analyzer AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository guimatheus92/mcp-video-analyzer (60 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 801 tokens to every session, about $0.0040 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
