industry-chain-mcp-server: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

industry-chain-mcp-server AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from handaas/industry-chain-mcp-server. It costs 2,319 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for an MCP server that provides access to HandaaS industry-chain data products. An industry chain maps companies, products, or activities across connected stages of an industry.

In plain words
What is it for?
They are for maintaining the server, its tools, product registry, supported connection methods, health checks, and parameter compatibility.
Why use it?
They keep the server focused on providing existing data and prevent it from taking on analysis or reporting work that belongs elsewhere.

Instructions file for CodexOpenCode

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: mentions Codex.

This is handaas/industry-chain-mcp-server's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on industry-chain-mcp-server itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything industry-chain-mcp-server configures →

Needs its repository: it reads a path above its own folder, which exists only inside the repository. The line is python ../industry-chain-processing-skill/industry-chain-processing/scripts/mcp_client.py ping.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.02319 $0.02319
Opus 5 $0.01159 $0.01159
Sonnet 5 $0.00464 $0.00464
Haiku 4.5 $0.00232 $0.00232

Security

Grade A, and why

industry-chain-mcp-server AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

HandaaS Industry Chain MCP — Codex Project Memory

This file is the repository-level operating contract for future Codex sessions. Read it before changing code or documentation.

Mission

Maintain an open-source MCP server that exposes existing HandaaS data products for industry-chain research. The server is a data-access layer; analysis workflows belong in the companion Skill.

  • Repository: https://github.com/handaas/industry-chain-mcp-server
  • Companion Skill: https://github.com/handaas/industry-chain-processing-skill
  • Runtime: Python 3.10+, FastMCP, stdio / sse / streamable-http
  • Main implementation: server/mcp_server.py
  • Public MCP endpoint when self-hosted: /mcp
  • Health endpoints: /health, /api/health

Non-negotiable boundaries

  1. Every MCP tool must wrap an existing HandaaS product. Do not add tools that build industry chains, generate ES plans, score candidates, link enterprises, or render reports.
  2. Preserve public tool names and upstream parameter names unless an intentional breaking release is approved.
  3. Product IDs are stable public platform identifiers. Credentials, tokens, signatures, signed requests, customer data, and account-specific integrator URLs are private.
  4. Never log or return INTEGRATOR_ID, SECRET_ID, SECRET_KEY, token values, signatures, or raw signed requests.
  5. Keep errors structured and actionable. Distinguish missing configuration, invalid parameters, missing products, empty data, HTTP failures, timeouts, and network failures.
  6. A 产品不存在 response must identify product_key, product_name, and product_id so operators know which product permission/configuration is missing.
  7. .env is local-only. .env.example contains placeholders and public defaults only.

Tool and product registry

PRODUCT_IDS and PRODUCT_NAMES in server/mcp_server.py are the source of truth. The current service exposes 23 MCP tools backed by 24 HandaaS products in these groups:

  • Enterprise discovery and profile
  • Supply-chain downstream products and enterprises
  • Advanced enterprise filters
  • Patent search and statistics
  • Bidding, procurement, and planned projects
  • Policy search, policy detail, and approved-project statistics

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
