codex-claude-code-mcp AGENTS.md

codex-claude-code-mcp AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from Happenmass/codex-claude-code-mcp. It costs 205 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for a TypeScript MCP server that exposes blocking Claude Code calls and read-only model discovery. TypeScript is a programming language, and MCP connects AI tools to services.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when changing or checking this server, especially its Claude Code calls, model listing, tool allowlists, progress updates, builds, and smoke tests.
Why use it?
They define how long-running calls, cancellation, permissions, session recovery, diagnostics, and tests should work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00205 $0.00205
Opus 5 $0.00102 $0.00102
Sonnet 5 $0.00041 $0.00041
Haiku 4.5 $0.00020 $0.00020

Measured 3d ago against content hash fb6b12baef15, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

codex-claude-code-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Project Instructions

This project is a TypeScript ESM MCP server that exposes blocking Claude Code calls and read-only model discovery for Codex.

Design constraints:

  • Do not add a poll/check tool. A run or resume call remains open until Claude Code finishes, fails, requests unsupported interaction, is cancelled, or reaches the configured runtime limit.
  • Keep claude_code_models read-only and free of model inference turns; it may initialize Claude Code only long enough to read the authenticated model catalog.
  • Keep stdout reserved for MCP stdio. Diagnostics go to stderr.
  • Forward MCP request cancellation to the Claude Agent SDK query.
  • Treat allowed tools as an explicit strict allowlist. Do not silently grant broader Claude Code permissions.
  • Throttle progress notifications and keep final tool results compact.
  • Preserve session IDs so callers can resume Claude Code context.

Before handoff, run:

  1. npm run typecheck
  2. npm test
  3. npm run build
  4. npm run smoke
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
