ha-mcp AGENTS.md

ha-mcp AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from harry189/ha-mcp. It costs 9,671 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for contributing to ha-mcp, including its folder layout and worktree-based development process. A worktree is a separate working directory connected to a Git branch.

In plain words
What is it for?
Finding the canonical AGENTS.md instructions, creating worktrees under the correct folder, understanding the repository structure, and following the project’s branch workflow.
Why use it?
It tells the coding agent where files belong and how to isolate changes, reducing mistakes in a repository that uses separate worktrees for development.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.09671 $0.09671
Opus 5 $0.04836 $0.04836
Sonnet 5 $0.01934 $0.01934
Haiku 4.5 $0.00967 $0.00967

Measured 3d ago against content hash 94192e30c2a2, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ha-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Repository Structure

This repository uses a worktree-based development workflow.

Documentation Setup:

  • This file is AGENTS.md (the canonical source)
  • CLAUDE.md is a symlink pointing to AGENTS.md
  • Read either file - they're the same content
  • Commit changes to AGENTS.md, the symlink will automatically reflect them

Directory Structure:

<repo-root>/ # Main repository (checkout master here)
├── AGENTS.md # This file (canonical source)
├── CLAUDE.md -> AGENTS.md             # Symlink for convenience
├── worktree/ # Git worktrees (gitignored)
│ ├── issue-42/ # Feature branch worktree
│ └── fix-something/ # Fix branch worktree

└── .claude/skills/ # Slash-command skills

Quick command: Use /wt <branch-name> skill to create worktree automatically.

Worktree Workflow

Creating Worktrees

ALWAYS create worktrees in the worktree/ subdirectory, not at the repository root.

git worktree add worktree/issue-42 -b issue-42
git worktree add worktree/feat-new-feature -b feat/new-feature

Cleanup: git worktree remove worktree/<name> or git worktree prune for stale references.

Skills

All workflow automation is implemented as skills in .claude/skills/ and invoked with /skill-name <args>:

Skill Command Purpose
issue-analysis /issue-analysis <number> Deep issue analysis — codebase exploration, implementation planning, architectural assessment. Posts structured comment and applies labels.
issue-to-pr-resolver /issue-to-pr-resolver <number> End-to-end issue implementation: worktree creation → implementation with tests → draft PR → iterative CI/review resolution until merge-ready.
my-pr-checker /my-pr-checker <number> Review and manage YOUR OWN PRs — check CI, resolve review threads, fix issues, iterate until all checks pass.
contrib-pr-review /contrib-pr-review <number> Review external contributor PRs for safety, quality, and readiness.
wt /wt <branch-name> Create git worktree in worktree/ subdirectory with up-to-date master.
bat-adhoc /bat-adhoc [scenario] Ad-hoc bot acceptance testing with dynamically generated scenarios.
bat-story-eval /bat-story-eval --baseline v6.6.1 Diff-based story evaluation: two-version comparison, regression detection.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
